I read that next week they'll put out an automatic roster update which also unlocks the jersey's. I'm too lazy and I haven't played the game in a month, so I'll wait for that.

FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been waiting for what seems like forever.

NHL09 is such a great game.

Some games you buy, you play through, and then never pick them up again (Assassin's Creed anyone?). Others you play through and you go back to them here and there (Halo 3, CoD4, GTA4). Still others you play, but you do them sporadically and you are in no rush to finish them (Bioshock, for me anyway, I still haven't finished it).

But then there is that game that you play a lot. You pick it up and play it randomly, or between other big releases. When the luster of other games has worn off, everyone has a go to game they play until something new comes out.

NHL09 is that game. When there is nothing new, or nothing left unfinished (round up some achievements in old games, ect.) I play NHL09. This is not a dis by any means, this actually is good. This means that NHL09's replay value is just beyond incredible. I own NHL07, NHL08 and now NHL09, and I bet if each game in my library had a "play clock" so to speak, the NHL games would be 1, 2, and 3 on the list (Followed quickly by Halo 3).

I'm just so happy that I get to enjoy something new in the game now.

I own just about every hockey video game ever released and all EA versions and NHL 09 is in my opinion the best hockey game ever released. I keep playing this so much I have a handful of games on my shelf that I havent even opened yet (Gears 2, Dead Space, Resistance 2, Motorstorm Pacific Rift, Prince of Persia)

Hey, speaking of these codes, can someone provide a link to where we can find the other teams as well?? I use rosters created by someone online so I dont want to download the EA update to get them.

I got to one part where I ran outta ammo fighting the Big Daddy and after dying a million times I got really tired of it. I found the game to be very difficult actually. Maybe it's just me. It's too survival horror for me, and I was never fond of that genre, zombie flicks, or horror flicks in general. I never actually owned it either, I borrowed it from a friend, and haven played it since. I hate leaving games unfinished, but as much fun as it was, I have little desire to finish it. I think I may have beat the Big Daddy using plasmids and something that exploded when I shocked it, but I literally had no ammo when I put it down. I think I was at the part where you see this submarine or something, and you hear some revelation about some Andrew guy or something, IDK.

My friend beat it, so I know the story.

I did love Mass Effect though, that game was awesome!!!

I'm hesitant to try Fallout 3, as I'm afraid it will be too Bioshocky survival horroresque and I won't like it.

I did like Fable 2 and I am considering buying an old copy of Oblivion though.

That is the global code. It should unlock all jerseys.

The way the original poster presented it, it looks like the Flyers only code, but it's actually the global code. I was confused also so I checked.

Fallout 3 is awesome, but its not as survivaly as Bioshock. besides the very beginning theres loads of Ammo.

Bioshock rocks though. I beat it on Hard and got 1100/1100 points

I am thinking about it. I might just do it if I can get my hands on Bioshock for cheap.

Call of Duty: World at War is the only game challenging my NHL 09 time.
I've played all 82 games of the Flyers franchise, and am now in the conference finals, played every game so far.

CODWAW is ****ing awesome.
I never expected it to be so bloody and gory.

Wait, WAW is good? I thought it would suck since it was CoD 1, 2 and 3 all over again.

I have NHL '08. Is '09 worth the purchase?

I don't normally buy EA games every year. More like every 2-3 since they don't usually change much.

What's different in '09 than from '08?

Haven't played 08, but the best addition is the Be-a-pro mode where you can either take an existing player or create a new one and always play position specific hockey in your career while working yourself up from the AHL. You can't change the player you control in that mode but it's a lot of fun.

I have 07, 08 and 09 (I only buy NHL games every year, Madden is an every 3 year job) and 09 blows 08 out of the water.

09 is incredible. Be-A-Pro mode makes it so YOU feel your in the game, and position lock is much improved. The game feels more realistic, and it plays very nicely.

It's interesting that the 1's on those jerseys are the modern 1's, even though when they designed the game, the Flyers jerseys were clearly designed with the historical 1. Way to pay attention to detail, EA.

I prefer the modern 1's anyway, so I'm actually happy they did it this way.
