Ugh Renney is killing me. I've been a supporter of his but he is just annoying me now. Keep the lines the same for more than one game. Against Calgary you switch Drury and Gomez around and you got a good looking lineup. But now we need to switch everything. I will be shocked if the Dubinsky line does anything tonight. Well all venting aside we need a win and we need to score at least 3 to get some confidence.
okay I too have been holding back the urge to jump on the fire renney bandwagon but where do i get my ticket? seriously enough already. The rangers SHOULD lay down a pretty solid beating tonight (solid for NYR meaning 3-1 instead of the 2-1 s/o win) and everyone will say "hey maybe he was on to something here." uhmmm NO! God forbid this implodes like it very well could, renney will be crucified as he very well should be.
The only move here that makes ANY sense is moving sjo up, the first line isnt exactly what you're looking for when your team is letting in goals at an alarming rate and the second line isnt scaring anyone over 4 feet tall. ugh i honestly hope this falls flat on its face. We all know todays tinkering experiment is a steaming pile o' ****, waste of time, the worst one yet.
Instead of sitting guys who are busting thier ***** but not scoring how bout sitting guys who are coasting and not scoring. Pru certainly isnt the problem and Dawes most definately isnt the answer.
Henrik plays well against the Devils and its a division game. Carolina comes into MSG, where Hank plays well, and not only that - but Sundin will be in the building. Maybe Slats (whos in Atlanta tonight with the team) wants Henrik to play in that game to give the Garden and the Rangers a good showing (no disrespect to Vally, but its Lundqvist, a fellow swede we are talking about here) to entice Sundin in wanting to play in New York. Atlanta is a crap team anyway, and if the Rangers bomb there at least it wont be with Henrik in net. So with that in mind, they want him fresh for the back to back.
Would you buy that?
I'm confident Sundin already knows how good Lundqvist is.
You preach patience but you are changing the lines every period an a half and cant ice the same players 2 games in a row, let alone a lineup for more than 3 games.
You finally start Prucha, he scores a gigantic goal (which is the goal of the week on NYR.com) plays with all the passion in the world, and then you bench him against a team where he could possibly continue getting his confidence back????
should be the lines we throw out every single night on a consistent basis.
Gomez has his sniper, the playstation line has the chemistry, we've seen it before. The Drury line has the ability to control the puck in the offensive zone for entire shifts, and that fourth line is the most consistent thing we've had all season behind Lundqvist.
We know it's there, why isn't Renney employing it?
