Not sure. But the topic at hand here folks is Kovi to blame or surrounding cast? If the latter, do you make a deal for a better surrounding cast?

I think it's just one of those things. They were extraordinary last year and like what happens to most, teams adjusted, took some things away, and they haven't answered back. Kovalev can still play, he seems a bit, not slower, maybe indecisive ? Really, his shots aren't going in, and Plekanec is going thru the same. A.Kost. needs to drive his own line a bit because Kovi isn't ready to be complimentary. The only question I have about change is that the CH may have an issue with meshing north south players with east west ones.

I'd like to see the addition of more of a 'I'm going where I want to' type of player up front, but I'm not sure if you need to settle on one style or another, or be balanced.

30 teams would say they need 1 or 1 more, and Mtl has a few in development, so I'm not sure that an immediate change is needed, I'm just curious about whether a team that plays kind of an artful, fancy offensive game can win with just that style, or it needs a bit of variety.

AK looks great out there and the points are starting to follow him. I agree with the one poster that said the concussion de-railed him. He is your most promising offensive forward. Higgins is banging at least, but now he has his own injury to deal with.

Plekanec is the one that needs to find his game again. Or at least get on the score sheet to build that confidence. When you are a softy like Plekanec you better be scoring or you start to look invisible.
