Two assists from Rundblad in tonights game against Rögle. The first was a real beauty. Erixon didn't have such a good game though.

One assist for Rundblad tonight. He was so close to scoring a goal but missed two chances. Still, he seems to have a better self esteem right now. I can barely wait for JVM to start now.

I think Rundblad's stock is on the rise. He has been brilliant in the last couple of games.

He could have scored a real beauty in the game today...

Jupp, to bad that Honken made a nice save. Rundblad really deserves to score his first SEL goal, as you said, David has been really good these last couple of games.

The dangling and scoring opportunity can be seen in this clip(at 2.07-2.12):

Oliver Ekman-Larsson vs. Tim Erixon vs. David Rundblad

Any insight from Swedish fans on which will be the best? Any info on any of the three would be appreciated. Thanks.

I like Rundblad the best. He seems to have such wonderful hockeysense, the kind of smartness that can't be taught.

Rundblad will probably better offensively. He has a greater upside there, however he is not great defensively. David doesn't have a great shot either but he's a really good passer.

Erixon however is a bit more stable defensively and he isn't bad either in the offensive zone. Still young and hopefully he'll show his skills in the WJC.

I suspect that David might show some nice plays tonight. He had some beautiful plays the last rounds in the ES.

Tim Erixon v.s David Runblad

Really like Runblad at World Juniors, but then realized him and Erixon were on the same team. I know Runblad played like 20 mins a night there, but how much did Erixon play?

That's the average numbers over the regular season. Rundblads TOI rose to 15.34 in the playoffs. Erixons TOI fell. The team leadership has expressed strong belief in these two guys so I expect them to get more ice-time next season. This is also showing in how the roster is appearing. Skelleftea has cut down the no. of senior d-men since the young d-men has proved themself capable for the task. In addition, the 2011 eligible d-man Adam Larsson has also signed
a SEL-contract with Skelleftea, so the team is loaded with d-men quality prospects. And that's not all. The organisation has some mid-to-late-round-potential d-men for the 2010 draft who likely would've got icetime in any other SEL organistaion, but they're overshadowed at the moment by these standout d-men prospects.

During the draft combine, Tim met with all team representatives, except San Jose. David met with all except San Jose, Detroit & Dallas, according to the local newspaper. Both guys say they really have no clue to where they will end up(of course).

So you are saying SAIK choose not to resign Lindgren, Viklund, and Andersson.

I could've replied to your thoughts on those seniors, but that would be just off-topic pollution of the thread. Go start a thread about Skelleftea AIK if you wish to discuss how they compose their team or if you wish to flame them. I'd certainly reply But in this thread it's way off topic. Stick to the juniors here, please.

On NHL.com, Erixon was not only stated to be born in the US (which is 100% true) but also was drafted as an american citizen... Dual citizenship I guess? Why would they post him as an american citizen when he has played internationally for the swedish team?

every human born on US ground can file for US citizenship i think.

but the reason behind nhl.com listing could be that they list players not by their citizenship but by where they are born.

heatley is german, kolzig is south african, regehr brazilian and so on.

I remember when Heatley was born... I probably have the draft sheet from that years NHL.com printed somewhere... and it said Canada for sure.

Erixon and Bjorklund

What are they looking at for playing time next year? Erixon was bottom pairing with skelleftea AIK was he not this year....any chance of moving up this year? I heard they signed Larsson, the man giant, which will hurt his chances....

And Bjorklund another Flames pick. Lucky to make the lineup full time?

Erixon will most likely get to play a lot more this year. I doubt that Larsson will get that much playing time really, I expect him to spend most of the time in the juniors and maybe play when we've got injuries.

Erixon did well in SEL last season so I see no reason whatsoever why he wouldn't get ice time next season, especially as he's probably going to improve as well, considering how young he is.

Erixon is ahead of Larsson in depth chart right now. Larsson is still just 16.
