The Philadelphia Flyers were back to work at their practice facility on Monday at 9:45 a.m. The team was on the ice earlier than usual and later attended a team holiday skating party at the Wachovia Center with their families.
Randy Jones, who has yet to play this season with a hip injury, revealed after the skate that he has been medically cleared. Jones could return as early as Tuesday night when the Flyers host the Colorado Avalanche (7:00 p.m., Comcast SportsNet).
I hope he's good to go. I'd hate it if he'd get himself re-injured. Hope that if he plays they finally give Luca some rest. I think he earned and needs some, even though I don't want to seem him returned to juniors just yet.
What do you want to bet he comes back and has a below average game in his first game all season and people jump all over him? This board is going to give him 1-2 games max to get himself into game shape before they start bashing him like crazy.

You're bang on. Yet you hear very little criticism is regards to the atrocious play this season by that of Coburn.
I'll go on record saying that I'm happy to have him back.
Not sure about this just yet. Not with the Flyers on a tear like this. Let him heal up to more than 100 percent them put him in. I dont want to mess what we have going right now.
Unfortunately i think Sbisa is the odd man out. I like him a lot and i think he's better than Kukkonen and Alberts, but we can't roll with all three of Jones, Sbisa, and Carle in the bottom 4. Too small and too soft IMO. Alberts sticks.

Honestly as much as I love Sbisa, Alberts is a more effective D man at this point. Sbisa needs muscle and seasoning
jones played his best hockey last year with kukkonen ho is a mobile shotblocker so i see them pairing him with carle. im really looking forward to seeing how it works out. though i think it would be good for jones to do the conditioning stint just clear the rust off and get his confidence up
I hope hes not back yet. And if he is it better be on the third pairing. Id prefer him to do some more conditioning first, although i dont really know how much hes done.
but when does he get in? 1. why mess with the current lineup? 2. we have 4 big games this week/end. I wouldn't use him until after the Jersey game on Sunday.

I am not saying that Alberts is better then Sbisa but he does not stink. He had 3-4 bad games at the beginning but then he improved. He plays a lot better now.
I do not think that paying rusty Jones with rookie Sbisa is such a good idea thats why I would leave Alberts in the lineup and give Sbisa some rest.
Anyway, I hope Jones plays and scores 4-5 points in his 1st game. So we can tade him 3 weeks from now.
