Guite and Tucker close to returning.

http://www.denverpost.com/avalanche/ci_11233580

Is anyone one else pissed about this? Not the Guite part, as he can replace Dupuis, but the Tucker part?

I don't want this old under achiever taking ice time away from Hensick, Jones, and Stewart. I don't hate Tucker or anything, but these injuries have forced this middle of the pack team to do the right thing: play the crap out of its young guys.

Thoughts?

Tucker can take Arnason's time. Win?

Oh, wait, right--Granato.

That is what I was thinking.

They will probably send Stewart down despite him being a breath of fresh air and outplaying both Arnason and Tucker in his short stint with the Avs. TJ will probably sit too.

It will be an absolute shame if that happens.

Totally with you I think Guite is useful, but Tucker is worthless because he is old, some might say he adds veteran leadership but we have plenty of players that fit that role.

All teams eventually have to start integrating their young players if they want the team to get better, I can't think of a better time than now, because it looks as if we are better with the young players, than without.

We already know what will happen, Tucker and Guite will take over for Stewart and Dupuis.

Tucker will get all the ice-time Wolski is now getting, Wolski will get bumped down, I'm actually looking for to Guite coming back.

Forgot about Dupuis in the lineup. When Svatos gets back Hensick will probably join Dupuis and Stewart...

I think they'll keep TJ and actually have Guite as a healthy scratch. With Svatos' return Stewart and Dupuis would definetly be sent down. As far as giving Tucker Wolski's ice time, well it might happer but would be a stupid move by Granato

Stewart should be down, to develop more.. it wont hurt
Tucker should only be on the 3rd line.
Wolski - Arny - Hensick.. till Svatos is back.
then id send arny packing. sadly hed stay and hensick will be gone
codys, lappy is a great line. wouldnt mind seeing Guite on the 3rd line
and Jones should be in the AHL

just out of curiousity, would mind elaborating on why you think Jones should be AHL

just my oppinion, other players should be playing.
and it wouldnt hurt to develop him more.
like give him more minutes, top line
dominate the ahl.

not to say he should never be brought up
just when all players are healthy

I'm glad Guite is close to returning. He's solid in the face off dot and a good penalty killer. He'll take some pressure off of Stastny and Lappy in both areas. Tucker to me can be useful, but he spends way too much time playing on the second line when he should be on the third. It seems that the coaching staff is trying to get him to play a type of game that he's not suited for. And I really hope that when Guite returns Arny will be riding the pine, but I know it just means Hensick will be returned to the Monsters.
