Yay Foppa! Hope he returns. Easily my favourite player who never played for the Rangers.

To me, he just wants to play 10 games and earn millions again.I dont think he has passion for the game, only money.

If the Sens actually find a way to win and are in a playoff position, we could be a possibility if Alfy talks him into joining us

We could have 2 top lines with Heatley - Spezza - ?
and ? - Forsberg - Alfredsson

But yeah I saw the news and it seems he wants to join the Avs.

You couldn't be more wrong. I don't think he cares about money anymore, especially since he has earned close to 70 million over his career and has numerous business ventures overseas. I think all he wants to do is comeback and show people he can still be a hell of a player, because he still "has it".

Maybe he got drunk, played some poker and lost 70 million. Now he is broke and he has to figure something out to get money!

Yes but he does it every year. This is the first time Mats has ever done it and probably the last. Why is it such a big deal? Because media feed it down your throats, that's not his fault.

Neither player are shells of themselves.
Neither player are that great anymore either.
Sundin can still be productive and somewhat reliable, the same can't be said about Foppa.
Feel free to believe otherwise.

I'm sure you are just guessing. Sundin had his arguably best season since 96-97 last year. And Forsberg had 14 points in 9 games...
Sure he didnt play too many games because of injury but if he could stay healthy, not likely, he would still outproduce 95% of the players in the league.

But you can keep on guessing if you want to.

Not like his salary is prorated. If he was all about the money, he would have signed at the beginning of the season, then gone on IR.

"Every year" is two years now? It's a recurring problem. If he were physically capable of playing 82 games per season, this wouldn't be an issue because he'd have been in training camp months ago.

Forsberg scored a point and a half per game (small sample size, but if he could have done it for 82 games, he'd have about 128 points; enough to win the scoring title) when the patchwork solution for his foot was enough to let him skate.
