Then how many points can you possibly expect in 7 game?
Is it just me or does your logic lack, well logic?

All of you really thin he's giving his all every game? That he hasn't hogged the puck? That he couldn't of had more than 7pts in 7gp? I said 7pts in 7gp is nothing for a guy with his talent and I stand by what I said.

Kovalev is Kovalev, he will occasionally turn it over, he will try to do too much sometimes, he will continually miss good chances....but he will also make the most insane passes out of nowhere, he will stickhandle his way into the offensive zone by himself, he will continue to put up points, and he will continue to be a great leader on this club. Kovalev doesn't change much, but what he brings to club far outwieghs the negative aspects of his game.

He's been warned already (not this year) and I do believe he already picked up a suspension last year specifically for starting a fight.
When a player gets hurt in front of you in a fight and his opponent starts to dance around the ice challenging your own bench, YOU ACT.

When a guy like Brisebois gets cheapshot in front of you, YOU ACT.

See Peters a couple of years ago when Emery was destroying Martin Biron and literally laughed at him. Peters went in and fought to save the honour.

This year, Laraque has NOT been doing his job properly. He's supposed to prevent the type of things that happened to Komisarek and the cheapshot A. Kostitsyn and Breezer got.

True, Kovalev has loads of talent but it isn't because he isn't trying that he isn't putting up more points (Although 7 in 7 isn't to shabby for his age). If you expect Kovalev to play perfectly sound hockey with no turnovers and less puck posession then you don't know Kovalev. You have to work with what he gives you and not ask him to provide something that isn't part of his game. It,s a mistake that a lot of people make around here

Exactly. He will cause turnovers and make some boneheaded plays at times. That is his style. He is a high risk high reward sort of player.

A tough one indeed. However, games like this indicate the caliber of team we have. If the demonstrate a strong sense of competitiveness, along with passion, I will be happy regardless of the result. I hate when they lose but I hate when they lose and play listless hockey even more.
