With as much skill as the Flyers have had the past few years, it's a given that there's no real need for him, but still... what a warrior. Wasn't he the one that was traded to like 5 teams in the same season?
I remember trying to keep up with him but there was another Vopat in the league so the name popped up all over, I think he went to chicago for a little. Just one of those names that always stood out in my mind but for no real good reason. Like I said, its friday, I just want to get out of here. Now I'm just bustin my brain trying to think of some others, but I'm not coming up with any
Roman Vopat started that year with the Kings, and was traded to Colorado for Eric Lacroix, Vopat was flipped to Chicago before he ever hit the ice for the Avs, and then Chicago traded him to the Flyers for Mike Maneluk, Vopat played with the Phantoms the next season then went to Germany.
Roman Vopat's biggest accomplishment: Being the Conn Smythe winner in NHL 2000 for me running the 3rd line with Vladimir Orszagh. Vopat had 14 goals, including the Cup winning goal in OT of game 7 vs. Phoenix
