D'Agostini - Koivu - A.Kostitsyn
Gui -Lang - Kovalev
Tanguay -Plekanec - Kostopolous
Higgins -Lapierre - S.Kostitsyn

4 lines all killer at both ends of the ice.

I think D'Ago has spent enough time in the AHL. He would not gain anything from going down to the ahl. It might just hinder him if anything. He is definately NHL ready, he over-powers Blue Liners, has great size, incredible speed, and one hell of a shot. Every time I see him with the puck, it gives me goose bumps. Even Grabs didn't have that. No way would he be sent down. I think Higgins'/Lats days are numbered.

I think Higgins is gone once he comes back. Elliot Freedman yesterday before the game started said he spoke to Gainey about Sundin and Gainey told he stopped going after Sundin because he switched his priority to a Defensemen and he's currently working a deal.

No energy! Yeah sure!

The 4th line has to play less than the other lines, and needs to bring some energy to the game.

Ya I guess, but I think all 4 lines there could bring energy. The Koivu line isn't an energy line but the shifts were those three are flying and creating offense accomplishes the same thing.

You need some grit and 4 offensive lines ain't going to work. Offensive players need ice time to produce and having 4 offensive lines could hurt us. Plus it would be dumb to keep all these forwards when we're clearly missing a piece on the back end.

This won't be an issue until February. For all we know, someone else will get injured before Higgins comes back.

They can't sit anyone on the 4th line IMO, they've just been too good.

AKost Plek Kovalev
Higgins Koivu Tanguay
SKost Lang Lats
Begin Lapierre Kosto

Laraque D'Agostini

As far as I'm concerned....we need to try and make room for Dags....he has been nothing but spectacular since getting called up. He is a fast skater, he is always in the middle of the action, he goes in the corners, he goes hard to the net and he scores goals. If there is any way possible, the Habs should try to keep him up in Montreal.

We'll cross that bridge when we get there. Other guys could get injured or start slumping, D'Agostini might stop playing so well. If everyone is healthy and playing well this means we are winning, well that's a good problem to have. (to reuse every cliché in the book)

he needs to stay up.

He puts the puck in the net, has terrific speed and isn't afraid to go to the net.

He's exactly what we need.

Trade Higgins because we get another player like him? What a dumb idea, like it's a bad thing to have two players like Higgins! You don't trade players who are the heart and soul of the organization and show up everynight. You trade the floaters.

Depending on who leaves next year and who stays we might need all our rookies.

when Higgins comes back, I want to see a 3rd line of:

Higgins-Plekanec-D'Agostini

They can all skate, score, forecheck like mad and play great D

That could leave our top 6 as:

Tanguay-Koivu-Andrei
Sergei-Lang-Kovalev

u send down lats, he has no business being on this team or in the nhl, dago will bring much more to this team than lats ever will.

yes ... we are in the same mood my friend ... the way Dago has been playing is dictating the options gainey now has ...

obyrne, lats , higgins vs bouwmester (+ Dago locked in mtl) ? this is not a proposal ... its just to point out that , right now, dagostini is an upgrade on higgins and/or lats ... imo ... and it makes gainey's job wayyyyyyyy easier if his plans were to get jaybo , for exemple. Since we will soon need to find playing time for guys like pacioretty, mcdo , subban, webber, kristo, chip, maxwell ... it would be a crime not to sacrifice a guy like lats or higgins or obyrne to significantly improve the team ... imo.

I would like to see them try these lines.

Tanguay/ Koivu/ AK46
Lats/ Lang/ Kovy
Higgins/ Plekanec/ D'Agostini
S Kostitsyn/ Lapierre/ Kosto, Laraque, Begin (depending on matchup)

Markov/ Komi
Hammer/ Gorges
Boullion/ Briesbrois
Danneault

Price/Halak

A certain mod is likely gonna freak the F%&$ out at you for not realizing this, but Lats can't be sent down without clearing waivers. And he almost surely would not at his price (whatever it is, I'm not sure).
