I assume they're going to dress 7 defensemen once Jones is back up next week. But until then it looks like we'll have the Dan line version 2.0 with Gratton/Powe/Cote this weekend. They'll be fun to watch. . . for the 3 minutes they're on the ice.

Nice. I think Gratton played good while he was up for Cote, and I'm glad he's getting another shot. Plus I'm excited as all hell to see him and Cote on the same line. Be afraid, be very afraid.

I'm cool with that. Asham earned the extra ice time lately and Nodl needs to find his scoring touch.
I'm concerned about facing Washington's backup tomorrow, though.

For all extensive purposes I don't think we will see Nodl anytime soon, barring injury of course. They gave him a shot and he did okay but didn't do what they had brought him up to do...bury pucks.
He worries me a bit too. We all know how we do against backups.
Marty Biron is still battling a flu bug. A number of players commented they were surprised it’s lingering this long. “I’ve known Marty a long time and I’ve never seen him this ill,” said Danny Briere. “He hardly ever gets sick. But he tells me he’s too weak.” Stevens said Biron showed up at practice and was sent home. … Stevens said given how well Antero Niittymaki feels getting all this unexpected work, he might play both ends of this weekend’s back-to-back games against the Caps and New Jersey. Backup Scott Munroe remains was sent to the Phantoms to play in their game Friday night but likely will be recalled for the Flyers’ game Saturday against Washington. … Briere (groin injury) skated again Thursday by himself and reported no problems.
Give one of the afternoon games to Munroe. To play back to back afternoon games is a lot to ask of your goalie in such a stretch, let alone the back up. Tell Marty to stay home until Christmas.
They sent Munroe's remains to the Phantoms? Seems disrespectful...
A couple of days ago I saw a headline that read "Map shows where people most likely to die." I was looking for the place of perpetual living but couldn't locate it.
