#39 - NHL All-Time Top 50 Player Rankings

This little game is to rank the top 50 NHL players of all-time.

It will start by asking in a timed poll who the best one is. After the time has run out on that poll, another poll will follow.

So after poll #1, poll #2 will follow, poll #3 will follow that, and so on.

The polls will keep going until we have ranked the top 50 NHL players.

A poll ends when time runs out. The expiry time of each poll can be found by looking directly above the poll options

So far the list looks like:

The case for Dickie Moore:

"An excellent stickhandler and skater with a hard, accurate shot, Moore became one of the NHL's top offensive stars. He was also handy with his elbows and fists, and his aggressive play earned him the nickname "Digging Dicker." Although plagued with injuries throughout his career, Moore managaed to lead the NHL in scoring twice. He won his first title in 1957-58 despite playing the final three months of the season with a cast on his broken left wrist. In 1958-59, he established career highs with 41 goals and 55 assists, breaking Gordie Howe's single-season record of 95 points set six years before" - Total Hockey

"Moore had passion, could hit, could fight, was a solid skater and a sure stick-handler, and had a beautiful way of making touch-passes on the fly." - Ultimate Hockey

"If not for the sad state of his knees, he would have enjoyed a longer career. "Every time he put his equipment on we held our collective breath, willing those shaky pins to carry this consummate pro through one more game," said teammate Jean Beliveau." - Ultimate Hockey

"His resolve to carry on regardless of the hardships incurred was an integral part of his personality.", "Despite many injuries that caused him to miss a host of regular-season games, Moore was always ready to compete in the post-season." - HHoF Bio

Moore led the NHL in scoring twice, including setting the single season record at 96 in 1958-59, and also led in playoff scoring twice. He aslo finished second in playoff scoring after coming out of retirement to help lead St. Louis to the Final in 1968.
