Those 3 -- with their size -- couldn't control the play in a D3 college game. That line is just asking to be hunted on the ice. There is zero toughness to that line and frankly Nodl and Upshall are not good enough offensively to even warrant being put out there on a line like that.

Nodl is a young rookie. I beleive he's 21. His has a solid all around game for such a young player. His value to the team wasn't scoring. That's not why he was on the team. The scoring will come in time.

I really don't get it when people say that Knuble doesn't do a lot 5 on 5. As if scoring goals was the only thing that matters in Hockey. Giroux didn't make this team for a specific reason. And now you want to put him on the top line? I'd have to pass on that.

Knuble does alot on the PP, not as much 5 on 5

I love the way gratton plays. I hope he can find a spot on the 4th line some time. I really liked Nodl but i understand why he was sent down.

Cote-Gratton-Asham

that would be AMAZING

There's no such thing as too much worrying about playing well defensively on a team with this team's first two lines.

Asham earned some more 3rd line time.

Does it mean Flyers are about 1.6M under the cap?

P.S Nodl scored in AHL.

I don't mind bringing Nodl down but I don't like Asham on the 3rd line.

Nodl started out pretty good, but his play has declined as of late.

They arent going to call up Giroux to play on the 4th line.

I hope we get alot of fights today. Brashaer vs Cote/Asham/Gratton.

Your obviously just looking at goals scored. Knuble is solid in 5 on 5. He's responsible defensively. He wins board battles. He's very strong on the cycle game. He goes to the net well and creates space for his linemates. All things that don't show up on the scoreboard. If your just focused on goals and assists, your missing a lot of what happens on the ice. His physical presence is a strong compliment to Richards and Gagne. And was the same, when he played with Carter.

Jokinen waived. Would be a great pickup for free.

Gagne-Richards-Knuble

Tampa Bay is just horrible. They must have the worst management ever.

must be music to Holmgren's ears. I like that goalie they have. Maybe they'll take Hatcher for him

Yea we'd have to take their first rounder for 2009. Downie, Smith and Tavares.

Jokinen has gone 15 straight games without registering a point. He was waived from the worst team in the League. there has to be a reason for that. I'll pass.

So true, so, so true. Many people on here are going to be disappointed because Knuble is most likely going to be re-signed here--and I wouldn't be surprised if it was a two-year deal. He is still an important member of this team.
