As you can see I am a Canes fan. Me, my brother and our girlfriends are coming to the Hurricanes vs Sabres game on Saturday, January 17th. I am aware of the bad blood that was a big story line when the Canes met the Sabres in the 06' playoffs and have a simple question. Will we be fine wearing Canes jerseys to the game and cheering on the Hurricanes without any problems? Example- Drinks or food being tossed our way. We're not ignorant, rude or anything like that. Simply watching the game and cheering for our team like any other casual fan.
If anyone could help me out, I would definitely appreciate it. Pretty much put, should we wear our jerseys or not? I don't want ***** to hit the fan because of it. We're not the type of guys to sit back and take unnecessary crap from people, not floating my own boat, it's just the way we are. All in all, we don't want any problems and am asking if your fan base is respectful in that area.
Thanks for the replies everyone, really appreciate it! Heckling is fine, it's all part of the game. Looking forward to the game thats for sure! Should be a great game with both teams in the midst of fighting for a playoff birth.
With girls with you, the only way you get into any type of altercation is being really REALLY obnoxious. Just for coming here and asking I can tell you aren't the type. Fans will give you a little and will allow you to give a little back, but stay away from 2006. We'll be sour about that until we're dead and gone.
JEsus man if Connolly and mckee and .... Injuries... *blood pressure rising*... our 9th defensemen? WTF... Da.. I gotta go.
