on our disallowed goal a penalty being called on Cullen and Ward made a kick save but the puck went in --- penalty stands no goal.
in OT, a penalty was being called on us... Price touched the puck as it trickled through his legs...slow whistle, goal stands.

3 disallowed goals vs them in 2 games..penalties 15-5

Regardless of all this, the Habs didn't really deserve to win this game. Their effort was worthy of getting a point. This team is still incapable of playing 60 minutes on many nights.
Not to be the excuse machine, but 4th game in 6 nights......Higgins, Koivu, and AK46 out of the lineup.........and a rusty Price to boot.

5 points in 6 games heading into Christmas, I'll take it.

Happy Holidays, all.

Tanguay was a ghost, with exception to his assists.

Price wasn't the best but coming back from an injury, I'll cut him some slack. Two fantastic stops in the third to keep us in it.

I really, really miss Koivu, Higgins and Andrei. Man...

I don't think we really have a D problem anymore. Some D have good nights, some have bad nights, and our PP doesn't work because we're trying the same thing we did last year and teams know how to beat it. We need to cook up a completely new strategy.

Maxwell isn't ready, thats a given.

I'm not even going to talk about the referees. They should be given Merry Christmas pink slips and told to go coach a new sport. Okay I'm done.
This "ghost" is our team's first pointer with 26 points in 31 games. Set up D'agostini perfectly and helped the transition game a lot. His line was the most dangerous in my opinion.

People maybe should stop to expect Tanguay to be a player that he is not. He's a passer and a setupper. He's not a guy like Kovalev, Ovechkin or elsewho will control the puck for entire shifts and who will put in a show. He's not the most spectacular, but he's still effective and backchecks pretty well.

Blame those who have to be blamed. Not those doing the job.

Price was not at his best, and half of our d-men were awful. This is why we lost.

I dislike the Canes. They are an unlikable team with few redeeming features, and it has nothing to do with the market they play in. They dive, their playing style is annoying, and they are living on the glory of a fluke Cup run (I mean, miss playoffs-miss playoffs-Cup-miss playoffs-miss playoffs. What do you want to call it?). And they seem to be the beneficiaries of far too much fluky officiating. Rather like the Leafs at the ACC.

Well, at least we're rid of them for the year, it seems doubtful they'll make the playoffs...

I would rather play Detroit 8 times a year than Carolina just once.

It's a joke, it's like the refs don't even watch the game. How can you miss blatant calls on one team and call everything on the other. Canes aren't making the playoffs, they are a crappy team that keeps fluking out wins thanks to the refs. We should be 3-1 against them and instead are 1-2-1, what a joke. I want the Whalers back, screw you Hurricanes.

Yeah, I was actually expecting a make-up whistle,

Thank God we don't play them anymore this season.

On a sidenote, what's with Williams' stick whenever he plays the Habs? Does it have a mind of it's own or something? Amazing how he never gets called.

Dubé is so plain wrong on his analysis of his 2 disallowed goals....saying that on the first, well they were right 'cause they didn't know where the puck is.....OK so based on that, they could keep whistling all game long and it will never be their fault....And on the 2nd one, he says that the goalie took possession of the puck before we scored which is again not true 'cause that wasn't what made the ref whistle....

I guess even Dubé could be human....
