Brisebois and D'agostini appreciation thread!

Brisebois has looked a little rejuvenated this season. Not making the same brain cramps we've seen in years past. He's making a solid pass out of the zone, and is one of our only defenseman who can hit the net with a shot from the point. He also has a nice setup for Lang tonight!

D'Agostini is bringing energy and DRIVING THE NET. I think he's even rubbing off on Kovalev!

3 or 4 times I got very upset at a defenseman tonight and wondered who made the mistake (watched on NHL Network because of Houde and BRUNET) and it was Brisebois... Some d-men give up the blue line but few do it like Breeze-by...

sucks that Dags was as much fault as was Price for the OT winner, but the kid's been awesome, can't complain too much about him...

D'Ago is $$$money$$$$. He's our real 30-40 goal scorer, not Higgins.

that was a smart cover by d'ago when hammer pinched in the OT... he got the puck and made the safe play around the boards... its a shame it didnt get out

But this kid has good defensive awareness to go with his offensive abilities.

you can't teach what D'Ago has, that's why he's $$$money$$$.

Gainey now has a couple of pieces he can deal to cover our holes.

You're right lets change it to D'ago and Lats appreciation. I just want to know if Lats was body snatched and replaced with a new improved version. He is hitting, back checking, and owning the boards.

Dagger is there to stay.

Pascal : Let's wait before writing "future 40 goals scorer" all over him... Some did with Higgins and look now...

Nah, you can see it in his game, he was born to score goals. Obviously, he has a LOT to prove, but the potential is definitely there.

He just has to keep doing what he's doing. He has the instincts of a scorer. Higgins is more of a 2-way guy.

Something tells me that an appreciation thread should not be open for a guy that is not the first one to be blamed for a loss but mostly for a guy who impresses....

I don't know, which is why I don't want Gainey's job.

Plek seems like the weakest link but I'd want a gritty forward in return since we'll need to replace him next year.

I like Higgins for all he brings to the table, so i'd have a hard time dealing him.

Brisebois helped us get a point. His pass on the PP to tie the game was a very smart play and a great pass.

There will always be Brisebois bashers and then the people who thinks he does his job well.. They just won't say anything because they'll be labeled stupid, like me!

Brisebois is what he is... a #7 defenseman who is being pressed into duty as a regular and sometimes on the PP. I'll give him credit. He did make a nice pass on the PP and he did clear a loose puck from in front of Price once. He also looks like a flamingo when he is trying to block a shot and it seems like he is hoping his defensive partner will go into the corner to get a loose puck.

But he wants to be here, doesn't cost much and his good plays almost make up for his bad ones. That's more than you can say about a lot of the 3rd pairing defensemen in the league.

I'm talking about the season overall, not tonight's game solely.

Sure, he's soft. Markov likes to give the blueline too, and kind of drift them to the corner. I know brisebois no markov, but he has his role.

I wasn't a fan at all last year. But I think he's really stepped up this season. He's also our cheapest defenseman...

So put things in perspective. He never gets credit.

D'Agostini and Brisebois should not be in even in the same sentence.

D'Ago's been impressive, but that goes without saying.

Brisebois' impressed a lot as of late, to be honest. Seeing him actually hit people, and play responsible hockey, I'd actually peg him higher than Bouillon on the depth chart.
