A developing 1st rounder forward, a developing 1st rounder defenseman, a first round pick and a goalie to plug the hole for a while. I think it's as good as a deal as Toronto is going to get if they're truly looking at rebuilding. I can understand not wanting to let Kaberle go, so keep their 2nd and sub in Kubina instead if you want, but either way it's a good deal, imo. Makes Washington a more solid contender too.

In mu propsoed deal Toronot does get a piece (Semin) to help the rebuild as well as some other nice assets
What about your proposal sets the Caps up for a cup run? The Caps trade off a primary core player who, when healthy the last three seasons, has shown himself to be a 35 to 50 goal scorer. What team making a cup run trades a player like Semin?

Then you bring in Antropov. LOL. The Caps have too many centers as it is.

While I agree with what you say Antropov plays the wing more then he plays center. he can line up at all 3 forward positions equialy as well really.

Have you looked lately? The Caps don't need forwards. Certainly not enough to trade Semin for Antropov.

I agree that the caps dont really need him especially if it involves losing semin. that proposal was terrible. I was just pointing out that Antropov isnt just a center
