No matter how they're paired .. this team is going to be amazing next year if everyone plays up to their potential. The Predator defense definitely has slowly turned into a strong point as opposed to an otherwise "could be better" type feeling - with Klein and Weber factored in down the line it's lights out.
That's not even counting suter and niskala and stehlik if they pan out. our defense is set for the future assuming everyone lives up to their potential.

Playing up to their potential is nice, but what allowed us to do what we did last year as opposed to the year before was injuries. Last year, our 7 leading scorers played 80, 75, 82, 76, 82, 77, 82 or a total of 554 games. The year before, it was 64, 72, 56, 79, 71, 82, 60 or a total of 484 games. Players like Legwand, Johnson, Walker and Timonen played a combined 82 games more this year than last. Now, we were hardly healthy. Key contributors like AJ, Hartnell, and York missed serious games. Hartnell's injury stunted what looked like an incredibly promising season for him.
If we can stay the same or even get healthier, we should be an improved team. Players like Erat, Hartnell, Hall, Eaton, Hamhuis, Zidlicky, Legwand should all get better. Atleast, their overall improvement should outweight the decline in talent that some of those might experience. We should be fighting for a 6-8 spot in the playoffs yet again.
