Our "second line' IS UNBELIEVEABLE!!

I dont know where Briere is going or his cap hit goes but our Carter, Hartnell, Lupul line needs to stay together. Coatsey called it the "sky line" last night but I dont really like that name so if we could think of another one fine by me. Randy Jones makes our defence better and I dont want him gone but no matter hat I think the second line does not get touched.

Randy Jones lead ALL players with four give aways. I'm fine with him gone. And it was the Sky Line refering to the fact that all 3 players live in the city.

I think Jones will shake off the rust a little bit soon enough to be ok. Also I know hat he was refering to with the sky line reference but it's still a terrible name.

"Sky Line" is totally lame.

The Fast and the Furious would be cool

if briere is forced to play with crappy linemates, i could see him waiving his nmc. the way things are looking, i could see that actually happening, unless he finds his way back onto cannon's wing.

I don't consider it the 2nd line either, which I take from your quotes. I consider it "Line One version 2.0."

I agree. What a joy to watch. Pure offense. Hartnell is awesome. I am really liking him this year. He is well worth the cash and is easily our best board worker. He must play lots of soccer cause I've noticed it before last nights kick assist to Carter. He uses his feet along the boards often.

I would like to see Lupul's confidence build a bit. I want to see him hold onto the puck a little more. He creates chances when he does it. He could be a lot like Richards in terms of slowing the play down and creating chances.

This is lots of fun.

Right now...Jeff Carter is centering our first line. They're dangerous every time they're out there. They'll cool off, but until then they have to be the first option.

Don't trade Briere....anyway, most of his ice-time comes from the PP, and on 5 on 5, he could play with Nodl and Upshall and eventually maybe Giroux.

There really isnt a need for the term 1st and 2nd line on this team, a lot of teams actually. Its not like football where first team offense and defense plays almost the whole game and the backups just hope to get in a few snaps. Our first and second line get the same amount of icetime.

Why are they gonna cool off? No signs of that, ride the high. No need for Negadelphia it's X-mas time.

Nodl is garbage. Most people with his skill level are not even given the opportunity. He had plenty of time and chances and opportunity to show what he can do and the outcome is nothing. Powe is better and I think Kalinski is better too. I'm hoping that it's Nodl who is sent down once Briere returns and not Kalinski or Powe.

Nodl must be fantastic in practice and show a great work ethic, cause it certainly isn't the games themselves. No, actually, he has a good work ethic, he just can't produce.

Because that's what happens in hockey and specifically Philadelphia when talking about young players? This happened all last year and has happened this year. One line carries us at certain times. It's cool right now, but they'll cool off and someone else will step up. Just before this line was put together, the Richards line was just as hot and unstoppable.

Hey thats cool just an opinion right. I personally think Carter is gonna be hot all year, and go on to win the scoring title. Why not? They are on a roll and I'm goin with it.

as for a line name - "2am line" or "last call line" seriously, sky isn't bad...aside from the LCB line, legion of doom and the rat patrol most names are lame.

as for briere, he'll center upshall and asham

upshall - briere - asham
hopefully, he'll raise the level of play of asham and upshall
he'll see 1st PP unit time and step up in if anyone goes down (knock on wood)

What does that say about Giroux then?
Nodl beat him for a spot coming out of training camp.

Because if you translate what they've been doing the last few games over 50+ games they'll all have 150 points or whatever. It's called getting "hot" for a reason...it's different than the norm.

I am not expecting Carter to keep up this pace for much longer. Few do
26 goals in 34 games is an insane pace.
That is just under a 63 goal pace.
If he finishes in the 45-50 range I will be happy.
