Sizzling line
Center Jeff "The Cannon" Carter and wingers Scott Hartnell and Joffrey Lupul had combined for eight of the team's last nine goals before last night.
"They have the ingredients to have success," Stevens said before the game. "Hartnell wins a lot of puck battles on the wall and has better vision than credited for; Jeff is in great position on the ice all the time; and you have a big guy [Lupul] who can skate and score from distance on the right side.
"They're a big line, they can skate, and they can cycle the puck."
Joey: Wait a minute. I know you. You're Jeff Carter. You play hockey for the Philadelphia Flyers.
Jeff Carter: I'm sorry son, but you must have me confused with someone else. My name is Roger Murdock. I'm the co-pilot.
Joey: You are Jeff. I've seen you play. My dad's got season tickets.
Jeff Carter: I think you should go back to your seat now Joey. Right Clarence?
Captain Oveur: Nahhhhhh, he's not bothering anyone, let him stay here.
Jeff Carter: But just remember, my name is ROGER MURDOCK. I'm an airline pilot.
Joey: I think you're the greatest, but my dad says you don't work hard enough on defense. And he says that lots of times, you don't even skate back down the ice. And that you don't really try... except during the playoffs.
Jeff Carter: The hell I don't. LISTEN KID. I've been hearing that crap ever since I was at Sault Ste. Marie. I'm out there busting my buns every night. Tell your old man to drag Crosby and Malkin up and down the ice for 60 minutes.

That's how they mentioned him in one of the pre game things on the mega-vision last night. I figured someone else would have pointed this out in the GDT...as far as the arena and media are concerned, Carter is "The Cannon".
