Ducks - Flames

Flames:
Beauchemin
Pahlson

Ducks:
Cammalleri
Negrin
Conditional 1st

Flames a great dman and centre who're UFA end of the season, and the Ducks get their centre for Bobby Ryan on the second line, as well as one of the Flames' top prospects. Pick is based on whether or not Beau and Pahlson sign extensions.

Good? Bad?

I'm tired, so I may have missed something big and important.

Thats not bad but i think i've heard something like the Ducks are going to keep Pahlsson whatever it takes.

And im not sure about the 1st rounder, maybe 2nd instead otherwise flames wouldnt probably do this.

How about a conditional pick coming our way depending on Cammy's contract?

Flames:
Beau
Pahlson
Conditional 2nd

I'm pretty out of it at the moment and am too lazy to weigh out the pros and cons, but someone will.

Problem is Beauchemin is out for the season.

I honestly have no idea what direction the ducks are going in, they lack depth, but have 3 great young players, yet are one of the oldest teams in the league.

no way from the flames. eliminate the pick and it would be accepeted possibly. Conditionally or not a first rounder cannot and should not be involved in this deal

For Pahlson and Beauchemin? I'd be willing to give up a conditional first if it made us better.

not a big fan of the conditional first, and why do we need another defensive center? i scoring center is more of a priority, and we get a defensive one back, and give up a scoring up. Anaheim does not have many offensive players period, and well beuchemain is injured. i like this trade better

(conditional on beuchemain getting signed to a long term contract at around 4 million a year)

Calgary:
Beuchemain
Logan Macmillan
Chris Kunitz
Bret Hedican
Todd Marchant*
Total Salary: 7 million

Anaheim:
Cammalleri
Leland Irving
Adrian Aucoin
Mitch Wahl

Total Salary: 7.3 million

*I only have marchant in there to balance out the salaries. it anaheim has another forward they would rather give up for him, who makes enough money to balance it out cap wise, (anaheim only has 0.8 million in room), i am all for it

Hell no. The only thing decent in that package for Calgary is Beauchemin and Kunitz, and Beau is injured for a long time. Calgary has to give up two marquee prospects and our #2 scorer. NO NO NO.

it does pretty much signal we are not going for a run this year, and will hurt us in the short term, but i think it makes us stronger for the future.

it would all be conditional if beuchemain signs a long term contract in the 4 million dollar range though. sorry forgot to put that

We'd be pretty foolish to turn down Pahlsson and a player that is injured for the rest of the season for Cammalleri, Negrin and a 1st round pick

Props to the thread starter for the comedy he brings

good god no... this is absolutely ****ing terrible

Why would the Flames give up 1 of their 2 legit 1st liners?
Why would the Flames move their #1 defensive prospect in a deal for 2 pending uFAs, one of whom is out for the rest of the season?
Why the hell would the Flames add a pick to that when its terrible without it?

im not sure what value negrin has to the ducks seeing as how they already have three 2 way dman in the system who would be equal or ahead of him

and i wouldnt want to give up whats looking like our best 2way d prospect for pahlsson. do the flames really need any more bottom 6 guys...i didnt think so

ducks win that trade

Put down the crack pipe. The trade proposed is an absolute ******* with the Flames receiving the elbow deep fist job.

are you serious? a 1st liner, our top defensive prospect and a 1st round pick isn't enough for a pending UFA defenseman who wouldn't play for the team due to injury and an excellent checking center? basically this deal would be Negrin, Cammalleri and a 1st for Pahlson... and if you can't see the Flames are being sodomized without lubricant than you need to seek some form of counseling as Cammalleri alone could fetch Pahlson... so could the 1st alone...
