I am scared.

So does this mean Ryan Parent will come up? Or will we just dress Kukkonen?

Alberts is likely to play and Kukkonen will be the 7th.

According to this, Parent is going to the Phantoms for a while (not just for conditioning).

Quote:
Defenseman Ryan Parent will be sent down to the Phantoms Sunday when the NHL’s player movement freeze for the holidays ends.

Parent, who has missed the entire season while recovering from shoulder surgery, will not be with the Phantoms on a conditioning assignment the way Randy Jones was last week. He’ll probably be with the Phantoms for an extended period.

“He just needs to get playing,” Holmgren said.

The Flyers’ salary logjam has a little to do with Parent being unable to crack the Flyers’ lineup, and since he’s on a two-way contract he can stay with the Phantoms for an extended period.

I'm not worried, I just hope they don't rush either back like they did Briere. Let them heal and now we'll see how much grit the rest have.

Parent going to the Phantoms on a non-conditioning basis was apparent for quite some time. It shouldn't be a real shock to anyone.

This is why you don't trade a Randy Jones for a 3rd round pick in December like so many GM Wannabes said the Flyers should.

I trust the Flyers organization will monitor Kimmo very closely. I think we have all seen that this team can easily survive the loss of any one player--except Kimmo.

Hmm, I've been wanting to go to a Phantoms game for a while, but now it seems I won't have to. I'll just watch them on tv playing against whoever the Flyers were supposed to play that night.

Huge losses. I noticed a lot of defensemens slapshots hitting Flyers players in the feet last night. I cringed on a few, also noticed the condom on Kimmo's left skate. Did that go on after the bone chip or did he have it on the whole game?

So I'm supposed to be thrilled we have Randy ****ing Jones to cover for an injured Timonen? It doesn't matter, he's the one injury on defense that depth cannot make up for.

Agreed, Kimo is playing like a norris winner at the moment. He's practically holding our defense together.

coburn needs to step up his play, thats all there is to it

and i wouldnt move giroux to carters wing....i am just not impressed with him thus far, plus after that give away yesterday id be surprised if johnny promoted him to 2nd line....nodl is familiar with carter, i suspect he will be there

luckily for us we play columbus next

For that to happen, Nodl needs to be on the team, which today he is not.

The man sports a Randy Jones avatar. I'm thinking his opinion will be slightly slanted.

Injuries happen. We will deal with them and be fine, whether Randy Jones is here or not.

I know I should have more confidence in the rest of our defense, but I really only trust Kimmo!
Tonight could be ugly.

Losing both these guys is horrible, both for the actual Flyers and my fantasy team. This is the worse than a stocking full of coal...

ugh...GROAN. i'd be surprised if kimmo is back in a week. the flyers have a way of under-selling injuries to the media. a chip fracture just doesnt sound good

and it's amazing considering his size. Last night he was winning battles along the wall, and nearly everyone on the ice has several inches on him.

it's a shame he's so underrated...

Losing Kimmo def sucks I agree but I would much rather have Jones than some guy from the phantoms. To say it doesnt matter is a little much, parent clearly isnt ready yet if theyre saying hes playing for the phantoms, and not just to condition, so its good we have jones back.

You know he always throws a shot in for jones so theres no point in even reacting. Anyone that said to trade him for a 3rd in the first place is an idiot, hes clearly better than a 3rd round pick and even at his salary hes worth keeping for this year and trying to deal at the deadline or after the season.
