Defenseman Matt Carle is the latest player to be added to the Flyers' injury list. Carle will miss tonight's game in Columbus with a left ankle bone bruise, according to general manager Paul Holmgren. He is listed as day-to-day.

Hartnell is playing vs. Columbus.
Timonen and Carle are not.

You know he always throws a shot in for jones so theres no point in even reacting. Anyone that said to trade him for a 3rd in the first place is an idiot, hes clearly better than a 3rd round pick and even at his salary hes worth keeping for this year and trying to deal at the deadline or after the season.
That's not clear at all. We're in cap trouble and he has a two-way deal. He was making the team out of camp until he got hurt.

The reffing in this league is so inconsistent it's unreal. I'm fed up of the flyers constantly being penalised. It's **** to watch

Kind of the key point people are missing with Parent...he's the only defenseman they have flexibility with, and the reason it isn't a "conditioning assignment" is because they don't need to declare it one. Parent can go to the Phantoms without passing through waivers...Randy Jones cannot. Thus when Jones goes there he's "conditioning;" when Parent does...he's just there.

I really don't understand why they have Randy jones play the PP QB. He is terrible. Kimmo really saved our pp when he came here, he put a steady influence on the back end to stop us rushing things. Without carle we have no one that can do his job

I'm wondering if they would consider putting Richie back up high and bringing in another forward to the first unit.

On the PP? No he's not. They have the no. 1 PP in the league...and Briere has only played a handful of games. Briere is a good PP player, but they haven't missed him at all.

Richie was playing the point in Columbus I thought. When Briere is back I'm highly in favour of that move, anyway.

Timonen and Carle likely to play vs Canucks.

Philadelphia could have a couple of pieces back on the blue line, as Kimmo Timonen and Matt Carle are both hopeful to play. Timonen, it was originally thought, would miss at least another week with an ankle injury suffered on Friday in Chicago.
