No it's not.

Also, the Habs don't just do it in the 3rd or with the lead...Carbo has had bright brain waves that this is a good strategy at any time. Our main asset is speed and that system negates it.

indeed

both are tremendous goalies, but once Carey gets the same seasoning that fleury had, it might be another story.

Our main issue in the 3rd was that we kept flubbing our clearing attempts and breakout passes....that lead to a lot of unecessary work for Price, and hardly any momentum offensively.

Nice job by AK, dude must be reading my posts.

Come on. Fleury just shut out the Devils last night. No, he wasn't spectacular tonight, but there are plenty of games where he makes those saves. Did you also happen to forget what happened last year in the Playoffs with Price? He's a great young goalie, but I see no reason to bash MAF here.

Anyhow.. Price was impressive tonight, congrats on the win guys.

A terrible game, other than Price, but let's chalk it up to Turkey and too much sleeping on the couch and take the 2 pts. and run.

Nice:

"We want (Kostitsyn) to shoot," Carbonneau said. "I think he has the best shot on our club. He should be ready to shoot from everywhere, and tonight that's all he did. He got good shots right on the net and turned them into goals."

Everyone is talking about Price and Kostitsyn but let's not forget the amazing game from Markov and Komisarek against Malkin and, to a certain degree, Crosby. They were extremely efficient.

Price was so good after the 2nd goal, like he said to himself ''nothing else will beat me tonight'' he was fantastic for the rest of the game. Ak46 was great too going in front of the net and going hard on the puck in his battles along the boards.

I felt the team was too passive in the defensive zone but in the end it paid off, Carbo didn't want to see someone open in the slot.

Andrei Kostitsyn 3, Pittsburgh Penguins 2

I hate these types of games. Sure, other Habs might have had a good game but I can't help but think that the only player on the Habs roster who really showed up tonight was Kostitsyn.

I hate Sidney Crosby... I hate everything about him...The ugly face he makes when he scores is the same ugly face he has when he's over-embellishing an injury. Just like Mats Sundin I would NEVER want Sid the Baby to wear a Habs jersey, and I mean it!

Ovechkin (or Price) FTW!

Crosby was tonight.

But who cares, is happy... the Habs won this one!

I said it and I still hold my position.

Andrei will be flashy a few games and then dissapear for the next few games. Think of a poor's men Alex Kovalev.

Sergei will be way more consistent and versatile player. 21 years old VS 23 years old is a big difference. Think Paul Stastny.

The Prophetess speaks! Her message comes straight from the Tarot deck. Perhaps she can also explain why the more consistent one disappeared from so many games this season. She slags Higgins and Chipchura. She must have been furious when Stone Hands scored his hat trick. Now she goes after Andrei even after his coup against Fleury and the Penguins.

Please.....

I mean, come on. There is no comparison. At all. You're just mix and matching names on this one. One is a potential franchise player, the other is a developing sophomore. How are they even comparable. Even stylistically it doesn't make any sense. SK is an all tool guy; doesn't do anything exceptional, but well rounded. The other is just pure offence. Like, top 20 offensive player in the league quality.

This makes no sense, sorry.

Andrei stepped up this season. If Sergei steps up in one year or two like Andrei this year, we could rething about it... but right now Andrei is better.

I'm glad we have both of them, and the only thing that should matter is the crest, not the names behind the jersey

No kidding, its my biggest pet peeve. My second is the team's fear of icing the puck and gently trying to get it out of the zone and turning it over.

Its killing me.

Andrei Kostitsyn my boy, what a beauty night.

Team was sluggish, and next game will be better... but **** off with the uber trap. Jesus Christ Carbonneau, their defence is **** and they played last night, start thinking about attacking for once in your life.

the rest of the team struggled...
but man did Hammer struggle more than anyone tonight or what....nothing was working for him... all passes intercepted, missing positioning assignments, completely out of whack.

Sergei will be flashy for a few games and then be a healthy scratch. That's consistent.

Have you guys heard the Bob Cole Freudian slip last night when he "mistakenly" said "Christ" when talking about Price? And no i'm not kidding. He wanted to say Carey...Price but merged to two words for a second and it went "Crice".

AK46 is the best shooter on the team, did Carbo only figure it out now?

He should be the one Pleks/Kovy/Markov setup on the powerplay.
