If you could trade either of them, you do it just to get their salaries off of the cap no matter how well their playing.

definitely disagree.

IMHO Rozsival, if playing like he has played with us for the bulk of his career, is worth his contract. Redden has been an unmitigated disaster.

Rozsival's been playing well lately and I'd prefer to trade Redden too but if you could get either of the contracts off the books to give you some flexibility, I think you have to do it.

This is saddening

I hope he isn't traded. He's been great in the past few games.

rozsival with the puck= like him
rozsival without the puck= kill me now

anyone else tend to agree?

also surprised that nobody is standing up for redden with the "its only his first year" argument. i'm not saying i'd defend him with that because i'd drive him to the airport if someone offered us a bag of broken sticks for him.

Who would trade for Rozy?
The moves of Roxy and Redden almost rival Millbury for worst GM moves.

Why can't we send Redden to the minors...and then buy out in the summer?
It's not like if we have to recall him somebody would claim his deal.

Get rid of both.
They are soft swiss cheesers.

I've never seen two defenseman play so poorly since Dale Puriton.

I could think of about a half dozen moves Milbury made that make either one of these signings look like executive of the year decisions. Nobody in the history of hockey has done a more complete job of setting a franchise back than Mike Milbury did in his time on the Island. NOBODY.

Why is he on TV so much for someone with such an unimpressive resume?

Because he isn't afraid to speak his mind and therefore make an ass of himself. Moronic comments= higher TV ratings.

And comparing these moves to Milbury is like comparing your local thunderstorm to Hurricane Katrina. If you think Rozsival is horrible you must have never watched hockey outside of the first 20 games of this season.

The same reason Don Cherry is on TV. The networks want an opinionated loudmouth who is quotable and doesn't deliver the same canned crap answers that hockey people spit out whenever there is a microphone in their face, because people will watch just to see what he says. He's the american attempt at Cherry. But he is bar none, the worst gm that ever kept a job for more than a season.

So not only do Potter and Kalinin end up +1, Potter sets up Kalinin for a goal. I didn't see the game but on paper that at least sounds encouraging. Drury -3,
