It's not like the Flyers will themselves to 5-1 wins. Flyers traveled on game day two straight days. Columbus now has 11 of their 15 wins at home. We weren't talking about a gimmie here, I thought it was realistic that the Flyers split these two games.
While I agree with your statement there is a factually inaccuracy in your post: We have 6 wins by three goals or more.
6-3 in new Jersey
7-0 in Atlanta
3-0 in Buffalo (40 saves by Marty)
6-3 against Pittsburgh
5-2 against Colorado
7-1 against Washington (47 saves by Niitty)

But yeah, it seems that when we win, it's more often than not a one goal game. Our regulation losses are far worse there because we lost five of the 9 regulation losses we had by three goals.

Sbisa's injury last night is (or was) a groin injury:

NOTES: It seems all the Flyers got for Christmas were a lot of injuries. Timonen (chip fracture in right ankle) and Carle (right ankle bone bruise) both missed the game after blocking shots against Chicago Friday. Scott Hartnell played through a broken big toe. In the game against Columbus, Luca Sbisa clutched his groin area after being hit awkwardly by Fredrik Modin. Sbisa missed a shift while he went to the locker room but returned. Darroll Powe also missed time after smacking his head against the goal post, but also returned. Arron Asham bruised his right knee checking Hejda into the boards late in the third period, limped off and didn’t return ... Josh Gratton was a healthy scratch, replaced in the lineup by Jonathan Kalinski … Braydon Coburn is second in the NHL in restraining penalties (hooking, holding) with 16 … Carter wore the “A” as an alternate captain in place of Timonen.

  • Afleet Alex is lingering in the back of the pack.
  • Jeremy Rose has yet to make a move on him and he's running unstrongly.
  • Giacomo leads but...
  • Afleet Alex just ran right by Giacomo like he was standing still.
  • Afleet Alex is opening up with a tremendous burst of energy. He's five lengths in the lead.
  • A compelling outstanding performance by the plucky Afleet Alex. He won by six or seven lengths.

I actually meant 4 goals, in which case that's only 2 wins, but you're still right.

Coburn 2nd in the league in hooking/holding penalties. That's usually a byproduct of not moving your feet

Totally forgot to mention this.

As I was walking out of Nationwide, this young punk CBJ fan is with his buddies trying to look cool and he says, "Boy, those Flyers sure do suck, don't they?" I was the only Flyers fan near him and I knew it was directed at me. So, I responded. I said, "We sucked one game. Try the whole season. Oh, that's right, you have."

Needless to say, he shut up.

Exactly. I'm pretty sure I recommended they make the playoffs before they talk to me as well.
