More like did Kostitsyn just figure out that now?
Because he just hasn't been shooting the puck this year. Sounds as if Carbo had a little chat with him about that.

All season Kovalev has had the puck most of the time Andrei has been on the ice, last night Pleks carried it more so I'm not surprised to see Kostitsyn get more scoring chances.

Great night for AKost and happy to see him get the hatty. Plekanec made a couple of nice plays on those goals, so hopefully they get rolling. Nice job by Markov and Komi shutting down Malkin, he barely did anything last night.

You should have heard me singing "O Come All Ye Faithful" on Christmas eve... And I'm not even kidding.

It wasn't until about the 3rd stanza that I got it right. It's weird because I rarely use that nickname for Price, but I guess they do sound very similar...

If he was with the habs we would all defend him no matter what he does. Just like if carey was in another team we would say that he is overrated.

As along as Carbo is coaching the habs you will never see Akosty on the RW.

P.S I have the feeling that carbo will be here for at least an extra year after the the current one

It's kind of hard wen you are on the PK. And also, with the Malkin and Crosby pressuing and taking more chances, the defence jumping in more. Some time teams are just victims of what the other team is trying to do. In this case, it was to tie up the game. Unfortunatly, our guys where not able to take adventage of it.

Carbo is stuck in the 90's, the team is winning DESPITE his ancient strategies.
Agreed. Nothing like giving up 17 shots to 5 in the final period when up by one goal. Seriously, WTH is that? TERRIBLE strategy, I don't care what anyone says. It's quite obvious that this team is not a "trap" style team - our strengths are speed and skill. Unfortunately, Carbo has his team plan stuck in one mode and he can't figure out how to put teams away. It's pretty ridiculous when you think about it.

Glad Price stood on his head and gave us the win - he'd better get used to it if this is Carbo's game plan when up by 1.

What's your point? I cheer for my team and not for players on other teams. Am I suppose to cheer for Marc Savard because he is a good playmaker? **** that. Obviously I would cheer for Crosby if he was wearing the CH, I'll cheer for any player wearing that jersey, but you won't ever find me supporting an opponent. Welcome to sports.

Let me just mention that its not Carbo's strategy for the team to sit on the lead. It was made very clear a month ago that it is the team itself and Carbo doesn't coach them to sit on it. Him and the staff has been yipping at the team to play more aggressive with a lead. Instead, knowing Price is in net, they just let him shine.

I wonder how many people are conflicted seeing Latendresse crosscheck Crosby in the neck. While it was dirty, I'm sure a lot of people are excited to see that game in Gui now. I thought he was relentless on the forecheck tonight which I'm always happy to see. My question is, why was Crosby holding his wrist when he was checked in the neck? Bizarre.

Gorges and Price: Bromance.

Kovalev, Lang and Tanguay didn't play the game they should have, but it was time for Andrei Kostitsyn and Tomas Plekanec to start doing the work. We have unbelievable depth, we shouldn't be relying on the vets. So I'll give them a free pass tonight.

Sergei Kostitsyn did a lot of dumb things tonight, again. He's turning into the new Ryan O'Byrne. At least there were no penalties this time.

Yes like shooting the puck, creating scoring chances, killing penalties while playing with an AHLer and a 5th liner. Give him better players and he will score in bunches, we have seen that not so long time ago.
But YES bash SKost the overpaid veteran!!!!
LOL at your post!

Sergei was the better player at the beginning of the year, until his brother got concussed. After that he seemed to be a little shell shocked and really turned into a shadow of the player we saw at the beginning of the season.

May one of the downsides of having brothers on the team, if one gets hurt it can really affect the mental game of the other.

And for everyone bashing Sergei, keep in mind before this game they were tied in goals...

LOL, post of the month !! Did you even watched the game ?! Or you just come here talking trash about players that you hate ?! Sergei was creating scoring chances, blocking shots on the PK, backchecking hard and played in the last minute of the 3rd period with a one goal lead. And yes, all that at the barely age of 21. Carbo must loves the kid alot to put him in the last minute in front of defensive specialist like Lapierre, Begin, Kostopoulos, etc. One of the best players tonight for the Habs.

Clearly you don't even know what you're talking about, so go watch the games before posting ridiculous comments.

I think that you're tied with Ozymandias for the biggest knows it all on this board !!

Isin't that what you do every ****ing day you come on this board? You either pimp or trash, that's it. Come back talking about other posters when you actually know anything else then the players themselves in the game of hockey.

It wasn't any dirtier than the crosscheck somebody laid on Lapierre at the same time, and the fact that crosby dove and tried to sell it makes me happier he did it.

If you drink tears from Crosby and that no penalty is called, you understand you have luck

I want to like Crosby but when he constantly embellishes contact it makes it difficult to warm up to him.

So I did not imagine this. They WERE doing the 1-4 system. That is why we were horrible in the third. Price wouldn't have been so occupied if the Habs hadn't use that damn concept. It may have worked like a charm against the Wings but it did not work at all against the Pens. It took a Christmas miracle from Price to save the Habs.
