Which is the reason, why people stopped posting here. They got lazy, as they knew that Lanny will sum it all up anyways.

Nice little fact about the Wild, that Clutterbuck has already set a franchise record for most hits by a player for a single season with less than half of the season over.

I was about to write the same, but saw you reading this thread and feared to get rebuked by you.

Then again...the Wild made the Flames power play look like a Wild power play. The Wild are picking up their game.

I wonder, whether Roy is going to challenge the Boogieman after he took some liberties against Kiprusoff a few minutes ago.

Aaaah crap, the Wild tie it up. Here's hoping for a big 3rd period from the home team.

Which I just dont get... How some player just go flying the hit department. All players should finish their checks and all players should be out to make a consistent amount of checks.

Its going to be a tough 3rd. The Flames should be obvious favorites to put this in the bag but that 2nd period did not look too good for the men in red. Looks like it payed off to put Boogard in, the bad part of that was no one challenged him. Keenan should of sent an arsenal of 5 knuckles to counter that and bring some life into this team.

The 3rd will be a good one... I hope.

A good if some what less structured period for the Flames. They played well enough, but the game was a little too open in the neutral zone and close to a run and gun style that does not favour them. To be fair they gained the zone well, and maintained pressure. That is what makes this a good period. The Flames spent what felt like the lion's share of the period in the Minnesota zone. Of course when they broke down defensively, and it only really happened once, the Wild capitalized and tied it up.

The penalty kill was good, and also very very lucky. Which isn't meant to take anything away as the old saying says "the best make their own luck". But let's be honest. That post saved the game at that point. That goal could have been a total disaster, but with a mighty Ping, it was not. Nystrom and Miikka were both a step above all others on the PK that frame. Nystrom was all over the PP unit, stealing pucks, clearing the zone, and setting up short handed chances. The power play was very Jeckle and Hyde as the first shift was great, gaining the zone and getting setup quickly. Great cycle too. Then the second unit came out and they didin't even gain the zone. Seriously, why couldn't Santa have left a power play unit for the Flames?

Bertuzzi, Langkow, and Bourque have been the Flames best players. It's amazing how when they step on the ice, you can feel the difference in the play and energy. The whole team hasn't looked bad or tired, but these three have been going faster and harder all night. Moss has had a great game as well. He's been making the little plays again and, although not on the score sheet yet, has certainly been a force. I've already said good job, but Nystrom was very good on the penalty kill in the second. He made no mistake in stealing the puck and being in position to make the smart plays.

Great PP by the Flames but Harding bailed the Wild out.

That's the icing on an already extremely pleasant PK-cake.

Nyz!!

What a goal. Watching him the past couple of weeks, didn't know he had those soft hands. He just never finishes. I hope to see more of that.

Nyzerman!

I have to say the Wild are horrendous to watch, I don't know how they've sold out every home game, they are easily the most boring team in the league to watch.
