But the way he stole the puck from the Panthers makes it a fantastic empty netter.

It rotates between Markov, Gorges, Hamrlik, S Kostitsyn and Brisebois. There really is no top offensive pairing per say, but usually Markov is out there first or when it is important.

Chipchura will be the heart and soul of this team one day.
Post of the night right there.

I had many opportunities to watch Chips play in PA with the raiders.

He is the real deal.

The 3rd goal by Lappy was awesome. We were 7 watching the game and we all jumped up when Max stole the puck from McCabe.

Some people wouldn't know a hockey player if he fell on their head. Guys like Chips are the guys that know how to compete when it counts. IE, not folding under physical and mental pressure and not taking stupid retaliatory penalties in important games. We need more warriors - and less prima-donna's. Chips is a warrior.....just like hat-trick boy Laps and both Begin and Kostopoulos.

Just wondering if Begin had a hat trick during his career?

Lappy turning into a gem! Not because of the hat trick, not at all, he's been a great player for us this year. Didn't expect such a leap in his game.

Not the best game for Segrei and Komi... Pleks looked good, Kovy too, Price is impressive... we need more fire power though.

Me and my buddies were talking on Saturday about Max during the Pens game saying how is the perfect bottom 6 player. He does everything you want from him. Grinder, hits, pesky, forechecks hard, excellent faceoff man this year, kills penalties etc. Really happy to see him get the hattrick last night and great effort to get the third goal.

Pretty good game overall. I thought Sergei and Brisebois struggled but the rest of the team played a great game. Turtleneck is back!

Yoink!

I did not notice it was McCabe that lost the puck! OK now i'm a firm believer that he's on the Habs payroll.

Especially after he let Plekanec blow by him for the breakaway. :p

Anyone notice those two guys 'trying' to give eachother 5 (or props). That was the funniest thing ever. Can anyone tell me when that happened? I've got the game PVR'd but I forgot when it was so I failed miserably when trying to show it to friends after the game.

Here I was wondering why the Panthers D completly let Plek go like that without touching him. I didn't know that was McCabe too. wow

Damn, what the hell is your problem girl?

How the hell do you know what Chipchura will be like??? You can actually predict the future? You know, must people here think it is utterly retarded to do what you are doing. Always bringing up one player and bringing down another one. Lapierre didn't look as good as Chipchura did when he started off. Both players have different qualities, but I wouldn't expect someone like you to understand that. I wouldn't expect someone like you to be able to see further than your biased misinformed opinion.

On another note, H10H, can you quote my post from the GDT, please? I called that game, my mom, as I talked to her last night and she clarified it for me, the Habs are now 4-0 when she goes to see them in Miami (Sunrise).

Also, I have to eat some crow after Lapierre's play so far this year. I didn't think he had it in him to be a regular this year because of his lack of vision.
He's improved tremendously over the last year. I couldn't have asked for more from the kid.

In doing so, they will likely find a way to battle it out for the first overall in the conference.

It happens more often than for Sergei or Maxwell so far this year.

Maxwell is not even near ready for the NHL. Chipchura is miles ahead of him. Sergei needs a stint in the AHL. He's had a good game or two recently, but he looks bad a lot of the time. He needs to gain confidence, and I think the extra space and time he would get in the A would be really beneficial for him.

As for Laps vs Chip, they are two completely different players. Chips is a smarter more skilled player who is very good defensively and is a born leader.
Laps is a little ball of fire, à la Bégin, but with more offensive awareness.

If I were a betting man, I would put my money on Chip to have a more successful career.

As much as Laps has improved in terms of hockey sense, I still think our future 4th line would look good with Chipper centering it and with Laps on the wing.

Come on guys, I shouldn't have to keep telling you all that talking about ignore lists is not allowed.

If you're going to put someone on your ignore list. Fine, just don't come on here and tell others to do the same.

Its almost as if Carbs is getting it now. When you have the lead, you don't have to lay back and play dead... first game this year the team actually pressed with the lead.
