How good has Lapierre been lately............ WOW.
He will garner more minutes than Lang from now on in, I'm quite sure.
Price solid as usual. The best is that it was Vinny he stoned.
I remember someone at the begining of the season someone said that Lapierre could turn into a Ryan Kesler, i dont remember if it was a visionnary Hab fan or a ignorant Canucks fan.
I was thinking about that exactly !!! More and more, we see Lapierre showing patience and pulling moves i would never have though him able do to. He's really turning into a good shutdown centerman. Think about it !!! We potentially have 2 of those in the system: Lappy and Chips.
He's definetely well suited for the centerman job: he's quick, pretty big, good on faceoff and in the corners, good defensive awareness, starting to show decent vision and hands. There will be no more talk about him being converted to wings from now on I hope.
Just back from the game - a home game for the HABS in Tampa tonight - Carey's pose was awesome - I actually didn't know that Laps scored, I was filming it and trying to watch at the same time - when Carey did the superman, I didn't know what he was doing? The crowd was so loud after LAPS scored, I thought Smith saved it??
Do have to say though, Komisarek played well - was all over Lecavalier ALL night - even got him to take a stupid penalty. Tanguay got levelled and didn't return as others have posted - loved that Kostopoulis went after Artyukhin after the Tanguay hit. He's a team guy! ...and he took some shots from the behometh. What a poor effort by 80%+ of the HABS!! (PRICE, LAPS, KOMI, MARKOV, Gorges looked good)

So true. I think he did the same in the playoffs last year when he was with the Flyers... He's annoying as hell i was hoping Komi would clock him later on.
