Tang/Price out Pac/Chip/Weber/Denis Up

Here's what was going on today at practice:

http://habsinsideout.com/main/13193

Quote:
Going on 3 pm at the Bell Sports Complex in Brossard and those of us who don't have a life – and those making big money with the Canadiens – are here.

If you're reading this from the Montreal area, don't make the trip to the rink; it's closed to the public today.

Lines, as they are, on the ice:

Plekanec with Kovalev and Andrei Kostitsyn
Lang with D'Agostini and Bégin
Lapierre with Latendresse and Kostopoulos

Not on the ice: Price, Koivu, Sergei Kostitsyn, Tanguay, Laraque, Higgins.

Callup(s) from Hamilton to be announced this afternoon. We'll be talking soon to Tanguay. More to come later...

Yeah, especially if he is injured: that *******!

Who knows why. We don't know if it was optional or what is going on. Calm down, C.

Well, if he was injured, fine, it's understandable why.

But if it was optional, I see no reason he shouldn't have shown up...his play hasn't exactly been stellar these past few weeks.

Maybe a therapy day for a minor injury? Anyway, looking forward to see who the call-ups are this afternoon.

I completely agree and if we had a healthy roster, I'd like to see him sent down for an ego check. That said, I'm still going to give him the benefit of the doubt.

Pacioretty, Chipchura, Weber and Denis all called up

So Stubbs says callup will be announced this afternoon. Take your shot at who they might be. I vote Chip and Lehoux. Vote 2 players max!

Most likely a therapy day, I wouldn't start stressing over pure speculation.

I'd like to see Sergei in Tanguay's spot for a few games then call up a grinder type like Glumac to play on the 4th line.

NOoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Tanguay, Price both out
posted by Dave Stubbs at 15h43 EST on Jan 1

Alex Tanguay will be out a minimum six weeks with a left shoulder separation. He's in a sling this afternoon. Audio of Tanguay will be posted here later.

Carey Price will not make the trip to New Jersey this evening. He felt a lower-body discomfort during warmup before Tuesday's game vs. Tampa Bay but soldiered on and in fact had a great game, winning in the shootout.

Carbo says Price is day to day, and could be ready to go as early as Sunday's matinée vs. Florida.

Callups from Hamilton: Kyle Chipchura, Max Pacioretty, Yannick Weber and Marc Denis. Weber might see some power play duty, if Carbo decides to use him, Denis will back up Jaro Halak against the Devils.

"He felt lower-body discomfort during warmup before Tuesday's game vs. Tampa Bay but soldiered on and in fact had a great game, winning in the shootout. He didn't tell head coach Guy Carbonneau before the game that he wasn't 100 per cent."

What a soldier...
