I agree 100%. Tim Thomas is the goalie to have playing in the playoffs. It will be make or break for the Bruins, but if they're going to win the Stanley Cup, its going to be by Tim Thomas on a hot streak.

Hopefully Montreal's depth falls into place by March. That way the Canadiens will have a wider margin for opportunity than any other team in the NHL.

I'm excited to see all these prospects play.

All rookies get crappy numbers until they cement their place in the lineup, at which point they can change their number.

Patchy had a good game when he wore #67 in the pre-season, don't mess that up

I have no idea why we are talking about the Bruins in here lol.

But I believe they keep both of their goalies. The two led them to where they are now, so ride them both in the postseason. Plus Fernandez helped the Wild get to the Conference Finals in 02-03, so he has more experience than Timmy.

I could care less about the number as well. the only numbers that I care about are those he puts on the score sheet (not a -4, however, ). It would be nice to see him get a point in his debut.

I like those lines...

I expect big things from this 4th...

by big things I'm not saying goals or points...

But I expect from Chipchura, Begin and Pacioretty to show great intensity, to be good in defense plays, to plays with emotion and have some scoring chances. I expect them to win most of their battles along the boards and be a force even with limited ice time.

Despite AK's hattrick in Pit, I still think that first line really sucks. For some reason when they are together, Pleks is constantly making retarded decisions with the puck, Kovalev is playing by himself, and AK looks completely lost... and this is when they actually have control of the puck, which is only about 30% of the time. The other 70% they are completely hemmed in their own zone because Plekanec is too small and his wingers aren't much defensively. I'm really interested to see what this line does against the Devils, they'll either score 4 goals themselves, or never control the puck once.

As my 1000th post, I would just like to say, that I love the Montreal Canadiens, and tonight we're going to come out flying and beat New Jersey 4-1.

ugh the Devils...

I don't know what team is more frustrating to play against in the past 10 years:

Toronto, New-Jersey or Carolina

If we can get at least 1 point it would be awesome!

It's usually low scoring when I predict it to be high scoring. That said:

5-3 Habs

That's crazy our first line that was sosuccesful at the begining of the season is out Higgin-Koivu-Tanguay, can you picture the Habs plus this line? I realy think that when they will come back we will have the team that was a cup contender before the season started.

So, the Habs will ice a team that reminds me of the preseason lineups they assembled in September. It's daunting, but there's still hope they can beat the Devils tonight.

It doesn't look as though the Habs can catch the Bruins, who are cutting through the NHL like a hot knife through butter in the regular season. The playoffs may be different. I expect the Bruins to trade Fernandez before the deadline and Thomas will have to fend for himself without relief. Also, by April I expect the Habs to have solved their power play problems and to have reassembled a healthy team with a more experienced Carey Price leading the way. For all we know, Yannick Weber may turn into the new Streit, and the Habs may have 11, not 9, capable scorers: Koivu, Plekanec, Lang, and Lapierre at center, and Kovalev, the Kostitsyns, Tanguay, Higgins, Latendresse, and d'Agostini on the wings (and perhaps Pacioretty as well).
Incorrect, Colin White is not playing.

Pacioretty - Lang - Kovalev
Lats - Laps - D'Agos
