I can't say for sure with all of the other guys, but I'd say they play with high caliber line mates than Stajan and Ponikarovsky.

while I think Antropov could land a 1st if the 1st is the main piece coming back; I think Burke may be willing to move him for a youngish roster player and a pick/prospect too... I'm not saying the value here is perfect but perhaps Matthew Lombardi & mid-level prospect or mid-round pick?

I'd rather lose him for nothing, than accept some of the crappy deals some of our geniuses will offer. Nick will not be traded and will be resigned in Toronto on the cheap, you can take that to the bank

Laughable if you consider the Senadud's offer on par with Vancouvers

Alex Goligoski

The impending logjam that the Pens have coming when Sergei Gonchar and Ryan Whitney are both healthy makes me think moving Goligoski while his value is high might be a good move.
Again laughable

Antropov for 7 years was a huge under achiever with the leafs. When it comes to teams in rebuild mold I always deduct 25% off of the out put of the top players. Are they gettingt the icetime cause they are good or becuase the team has no one else able to play regularly.

I think antropov numbers are inflated partly due to the fact that the leafs are lacking forwards and Nik gets lots of icetime, if he was out into a situation where he was playing with and behind better players his numbers would drop. IMO>. If Nik found himself on a competitive team--he would be on the third line.
You do realize the Leafs are top 10 in scoring thanks in part to Antropov's play? Again laughable

The Leafs in no way shape or form are going to help any other team.

with a good team you could see antropov play extremely well but on the leafs he's counted on for most of the offense

maybe im way off here. but flyers offer upshall nodl and alberts.

flyers get a skilled winger to play with briere without taking away from the top lines.

toronto gets the first piece in thier rebuild in nodl who could really develop given top minutes. upshal an antagonistic 3rd liner with speed and alberts for salary purposes who is a bottom pairing d man with some snarl.

I like Upshal as a good 3rd liner and have no problem with Alberts as a salary dump but I'm not too sold on Nodl, he isnt having a good rookie season so far from what I know but I haven't seen him play much.

he projects as a scorer but plays good enough defensively that the flyers called him up to fill a 3rd line role. they sent him back down so as not to stunt his confidence after scoring only 1 goal in limited minutes. could grow into a 2nd line role possibly 1st. a decent building block type prospect but not a bluechipper

Well I dont know if its enough but your definitely "in the ball park" of what Id want. Another desperate team might offer more but amd GM would have to strongly consider it. The Leafs are short so a later round pick like a 4th or 5th would sweeten the pot.

Congrats on a more realistic proposal, not super common around here.

I'd definately be interested in something centered around Nik and Alex. The first option is iffy depending on the conditional pick and whether or not we get one if he doesn't sign. Like a first if he does and if not we re claim our 2nd in '10

This does seem like a lot to give up for him. 2 rosters players. Why do you want rid of Kotalik? Wouldn't he be good to hold onto going into the playoffs? I would take this deal easily but I think you could get him with picks and prospects while maintaining your roster. If you needed to move guys for salary purposes that's fine. Zagrapan also seems like a real project which I'm not opposed to. Maybe our system can turn him around. A real boom or bust guy.
