Jeff Carter is Carolinater?

Hey, Isles fan here. I apologize to the mods here if I shouldn't have made this a thread- I just didn't know where to put it.

Over the past week, our local newspaper here on LI, Newsday, hasn't been too strict on their editing. This morning, for the third time this week, among the NHL point leaders was Carolinater who apparently plays for Philadelphia. If you look at his stats, they match Jeff Carter's stats. So I don't know who's editing this and why they keep letting it through, but I get a good chuckle every time I see it in the paper.

I thought maybe you guys could get a laugh too. If you want me to snap a picture, I could do that.

It's a bit blurry, but then again, it's not easy to take a picture of a newspaper.

It's what you get when you write Carter and the "Car" part gets auto-completed to Carolina.

Does that mean he kills Carolina all the time. I dont get it. Is this the new Mike Richards is Cannon for Jeff Carter.

One of those things that no one knows what it means but it just sticks?

Or maybe a Carolinater is a.... Jesus, I have no ****ing idea.

That's not even like a small error. Well, a small error like that makes it stick out. That's funny though.

I say it should stick.

Carolinater for the ASG! Is he even close to having enough votes? I seem to remember he wasn't on the ballot (maybe?)

As long as it doesn't stick as yet another attempt to give one of our players a stupid nickname...it's pretty hilarious.

Not a nickname. Even if you are someone who thinks every player needs some sort of nickname (which they don't) why would you want the word Carolina prominently involved? It's not like Carolina is a rival or something. What's next? Scott Hartfordnell?
