First Place is Ours!

We have climed the mountain from a terrible start to move to the top of the Atlantic division. Let's keep the momentum going!

It is a good place to be after the horrendous start to the year.

But if you recall, the Flyers were in first place at the all-star break last year. And we know what happened shortly thereafter.

Well said Charlie, and yes I recall what happened
I swear if it happens this year, I might just lose it.

On the upside, mmm it feels damn good to be in 1st again! I knocked on some wood.

Good one. We'll probably be struggling to make the playoffs in March now.

But yessss, keep up the good work Flyers! Our division is crazy, we can't go on any extended losing streaks or we'll drop to fourth. And yeah, lets not suck after the all-star break this year.... please no

...until the Devils win their next game and take over the lead because they have more wins than us.

Let's see how confident we are in a few months when Brodeur is back for the Devils, Whitney and Gonchar are back for the Penguins, and the Rangers remember that you have to score goals in order to win games.

By that time, we'll have Briere and Upshall back and we've never forgotten how to score goals.

I'm not concerned with where we are. As long as we can plan consistently and string together a few wins without a huge 10 game losing streak then we will be fine. Watching the pens fall in the standings has been just as good was watching the Flyers rise.

First place is only ours when we have played 82 games. Lots of work to do yet.

There are a lot of differences between this year's squad and last, so barring injuries I really don't think a swoon is in the offing.

Of course, a team chemistry change approacheth when they have to solve their cap issue.

Gonchar to the Pens is what Timonen is to us IMO. The back end isn't the same without them.
