All Star Ballot Talk III - All talk goes here!

Part 2:

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=582058

Part 1:

http://hfboards.com/showthread.php?t=568992

The Story so far:

All votes are in and according to RDS the all-star game will have 4 habs starters: Kovalev, Markov, Komisarek, Price

My opinion on the apparent 4 habs starters? Until I see it on TSN/Sportsnet it looks like RDS was simply going by the last seen votes and that was 1-2 hours before voting completed

We have done everything fans supposed to do for their favorite team. The league may cheat and allow some other players to start, but I have to congratulate everybody here for the dedication and hard work that all of us has been putting in. Really proud of all you guys.

Part of me thinks that report was preventative in nature. Now most sports fans in Quebec think that these 4 are for sure in. Should the NHL engage in any shenanigans at this point, they will hear it.

Not that RDS would have an agenda or anything.

Let's go back and take a look at what happened today. Around 2PM, there is a massive (around 30K as noted by some of our fans) vote for Gonchar, and Fleury that put these guys ahead. We knew these votes are bogus. Were they coming from Pens fans or the NHL? I think they are coming from the NHL because we do not see the same pattern near the end of the day. My feeling is that Montreal media start to figure out what happened and put some kind of pressure to the league (probably ask the NHL to allow them to see all the votes if Pens players are voted in). Feeling the heat, the league stopped playing around with the number and that allowed us to win. RDS already announced Kovy, Komi, Markov and Price to the list of starter to make it difficult for the league to change the starter. This is just my personal opinion.

There's no reason for the league to want Fleury over Price to win (Price has more hype) and Gonchar is ineligible anyway so there's no point boosting him.

I don't see why the NHL would want two lesser players (this season) to make it ahead of Komi and Price.

There is, because then they choose his replacement, who is not named mike komisarek.

For your information guys, Pat Hickey in today's Gazette says that there will be 4 Canadiens in the starting lineup of the All Star game and mentions that the announcement will have no drama. He mentioned the last day surge by the fans to vote in Komisarek and Price.

I just hope that Komisarek and Price won't get their weakness exposed too much.

Nice! I voted 500 times using the cell phone trick (500 x 10 = 5000 votes) right before the deadline hoping it would help get Price in. Crosby and Malkin probably deserve to be there but Gonchar and Fleury have nothing on Komi and Price.

Go Habs Go!

Price should be fine : no more than a period + you can't loose confidence over an all-star shooting gallery. Anyway will he be ok or will he still be stuck with a LBI?

Komisarek could be funny. Like will he body-check? Get the most block shots?
Why did you send him there? He is awesome but in an all-star game...

There is virtually no defensive play.

Methinks you worry too much.

I really want to see what Kovalev can do in the skills competition. He will be fun to watch. Komisarek really shouldn't be there though

Maybe this fiasco will motivate the NHL to come up with a more interesting format for the ASG.

I hope you are all happy now? You did evil, Komisarek will be a freak show out there! You haven't listen to all the other fan base who told us that we should have voted for players with the most point period! That a sad day for hockey...

If we listen to the other fan base then we are no longer Habs fans
