haha i love it. I am still trying to find on from way back when he was on the flyers. It was a halloween night and JR was dressed as clark. All you see is clark in the box laughing saying " that *** idiot" Classic! cant find the dam video
Next season. They really only were in the running to sign Brooks Orpik and nearly pulled it off. They supposedly tried to trade for Khabibulin but I didn't buy it. Making the playoffs would have been nice, but not truly expected. They spent two years completely gutting the team. They didn't sign a single UFA. Their biggest out-of-organization addition was done off waivers (Kyle Quincey, who has been fantastic...but it was still waivers). They bailed out the Flyers by taking Gauthier (who still blows). They bailed the Ducks out by taking Sean O'Donnell, which was fine because Sean O'Donnell is 1000 times better as a mentor than Rob Blake was.
It was the cheapest off-season I've ever seen from a team, but as it's turning out not a terribly bad one. The biggest joke was that they went into the season with Jason Labarbera as the #1 and that was ridiculous, although Ersberg did not have a good camp. They could have made the move to be a real playoff contender if they wanted to but chose not to. They had a few surprises coming out of camp and during the season too which was nice. Quick came up and nabbed the backup job in very short order which allowed them to dump Labarbera, who I think was going to get waived anyways.
Thanks for the info. They did have very quite offseason. They apparently really want Gabby, seems like a great fit. I guess they need their big name goalie to start playing before they have a Blackhawk like turnaround. They have two of the best contracts already in Brown and Sullivan. I think Anze's is pretty good as well. They are built to be a GREAT team for a long time because of those contracts. They also have a lot of cap room, I believe they needed to sign sullivan ot get off the cap floor. Its one thing to have a team on the Floor with rookies on rookie contracts but they are on the floor with all the talent they have on that team signed to their longterm deals.
They also have Boyle yet to play much this year....any word on him? I was pretty high on him (traded Campbell last year for him and Giroux).

Boyle struggled and Oscar Moller beat him out for playing time, plus the Kings have a lot of natural centers (Richardson, Armstrong). I had Boyle on one of my teams too. I think if the Kings make a play for a trade, he'll be part of it.
It would really give us a 1a/1b/1c line to go to. We see the chemistry that Richards & Giroux are developing, we know the success of the Center City Line, and Gagne & Briere showed a lot of promise in the very beginning of the season.
