Giroux's status was supposed to be known after the morning skate. I haven't heard anything concrete.

Looks like Perry is getting suspended four games.

Quote:
The Ducks can find solace in the fact they didn't lose the game in regulation, since they handed the Flyers plenty of opportunities in the third period with a rash of penalties. That included a four-minute high sticking call on Corey Perry, which in actuality was an elbow to the head of Claude Giroux. And that hit is coming with more repercussions. The NHL will be announcing later today that Perry is being suspended four games for it. (We'll have more on that later today.)

surprisingly you are reading that right. I can't believe it either.

4 seems like a lot. I think 2 would have been fine. Guarantee if something like this happens again they won't be suspended 4 games

Kukla's site mentions that NHL Game Center Live is free for tonight's game(s), if that helps anyone (scroll through the headlines):

So if Powe, Gagne and Giroux don't play, is the fourth line going to be
Sbisa-Cote-Kukkonen

Heres Flyers-Kings but you have to be out of market.

Heres one if that doesn't work for you

I will be there tonight. BTW, all upper-level tickets for Kings games are $11.50. That is not a typo. I will pay more to park than I will to see the damn game. I've paid more to see the Phantoms.

Id rather see Sbisa-Jones-Kukkonen cause we all know Jones can't play defense so why not try him out at center

Sweet. I think that's exactly how much my first ever Flyer ticket was.

HAHAHA $11.50 to see an NHL game that's ****ing sweet. Have fun, even though you might be seeing the Phantoms vs. the Kings

Hmm! Figured he'd get away with it, since Giroux is in orange. Good to hear! I think Perry's reputation got him a couple more games than necessary. But I feel pretty good about it.

The Flyers had to know that some of these forwards aren't playing tonight. How did they not get someone on a red eye from the Phantoms?

Of those who played last night, Giroux and Lupul could be replaced by Kukkonen and Powe. That is the worst scenario. It sounded like Powe is available.

Giroux and/or Sbisa will score tonight. The Kings have a propensity of giving up first NHL goals.

Here is Tim P's take on Perry:
Quote:

http://philadelphia.comcastsportsnet...585&feedID=695

An elbow to the face of Flyers’ rookie Claude Giroux will cost Anaheim’s Corey Perry a four-game suspension.

Perry received a double-minor for high-sticking in the third period of Friday’s 5-4 Flyers shootout win over the Ducks when he jabbed the butt end of his stick into Giroux’s face, just under his eye shield.

The penalty should have warranted a game-misconduct given that had Perry’s stick been a little higher, it could taken out Giroux’s left eye. Giroux was sporting a bruise and cut under the eye during the game as a result of the infraction.

I seem to think taht the suspension would be 2 games IF Perry had been kicked out last night
