Pretty much. I was surprised he was kept up as long as he was with his injury. Kind of flies in the face of the common knowledge "Sabres are cheap" theory, doesn't it?

Better to play his game on an offensive line than sit or spend time on the fourth line. So is someone else healthy?

Good.

As much as I like him, he looked out of place up here, more so than Kennedy IMO. Let him develop in Portland the rest of the year.

Also, can they please bring up Zagrapan now?

Well, sorry to blow your bubble but "Sabres are cheap" because to save money they sent down Butler and Ellis for two days at Christmas... ask anyone in Portland they will tell you how cheap they are, better still ask Ellis and Butler, they will let you know...

I want to see Kennedy back up, but at center, or Zagrapan up at Center.

Im tired of 4th liners like Mair and Ellis getting so many minutes. Don't get me wrong, Im a fan of both guys, but it's just getting silly.

This is what I thought the news was going to be about. The last I checked, Timmy and Kaleta were both a ways a way, does this mean we see Peters, or another call-up?

But he has been practicing, just hasn't been cleared for contact, but I'm assuming since Ruff made this update he has been cleared.

I'm excited to see Gerbe get better honestly and I really hope he does. As much as I appreciate the hard play and man up mentality, he got smushed all over the place in his stint in the NHL. I hope that tells him he's either got to add 15 pounds of muscle or learn a way to be less hitable.

best thing for him would be being out with Mair/Gaustad and Peters for a few shifts, when somebody trys some stuff on him just use the stick to get some respect and have Peters and Gaustad to back you up if **** hits the fan.

I'm not a fan of this post. Hockey's a business. There's a recession going on. No one is immune (see: NFL - the greatest sports enterprise there is). The Sabres could jack up ticket prices or cut smaller corners like this to remain as flat as possible. Tell me what I'm missing.

I actually don't think the Sabres are cheap, but it's against the rules to send a guy down to the AHL when he suffered an injury in the NHL.

Yeah, the poor kid got turned into paste along the boards one too many times. Hell, even getting stood up at the blueline on a routine play sent him halfway across the ice. Being as small as he is, he's going to need a good amount of time to adjust to the pro game.

I believe this is true.

Gerbe reminds me a bit of Stafford during his first call-up: you know he has the talent, but he just seemed a bit out of place. Now if he can duplicate Stafford's second call-up, life will be beautiful. But for now, he got his taste of the big leagues, now let him work harder down in Portland to earn the next call-up.

It's a thinly veiled troll job.
