Good game for the 3rd defensive pairing of Brisebois and Bouillon.

Combined for 1 goal, 1 assist, +6.

If this team wants to go anywhere in the playoffs they need to smarten up when it counts. There is no reason to blow a 2 goal lead in the 3rd to the Panthers. Bouwmeester would really really help.

also to the OP: had Kovalev dangled past everyone and scored a beauty like he's capable of you all would be praising him, but since he lost the puck and cost us the 4th goal everyone on this forum is gonna lynch him? NO risk no reward, that's Kovalev , that's what you get with him, y'all should know this from day 1 fool.

It wasn't pretty but we got 2 pts with an half-AHL team. I'm happy with it.

Carbo was shaking his head after the game was done, and for good reason.

Afternoon games can be a bit quirky. I hope that's all there is to it. I dont want any residual effects from this game.

I'm happy with this win. Playing without Price, Tanguay, Koivu, Higgins, Dandenault, and Laraque.

Holy Halak

And is it just me or should Kostitsyn have a hat trick tonight, on the Bouillon goal, it was his stick that came up in the air to deflect.

So I hope it ends the Halak has such a great value so we could trade him for #4 d-man....at least for a while...

If I see another Lone Ranger rush from Kovalev on a powerplay like that ever again... What a stupid hockey player and a terrible leader. Come back Saku.

I get why the third line's been getting put out there on the PP right now however the passing over D'Agostini is bothering me. His production has taken a hit without Koivu, but he's shown his smarts in the offensive zone enough to warrant more/any? PP time. Especially on home ice where he's obviously proven to be successful knocking the puck in.

Anyways.

Ugly ass game. Utter mess in the defensive zone, Captain Tunover. Chaos around Halak because the guys know he's fighting it. Melanson needs to hug Halak or something.

Maybe I missed something but his line was pretty ineffective all game.

Maybe he started hearing the rumours and decided to play bad so he could he stay with us when we win the Cup.
