Again, defense can't keep anyone from walking in on the top of the crease.

Uggggh.

Does anyone on this team want to defend the front of the net on this trip?

Good grief.

Niskanen is still struggling it seems. A bad turnover there.

The forwards appear to have shown up tonight.

The defense not so much.

I thought Niskanen was better last game, or at least equally bad as the rest of the defensemen.

Grossman appears to be the new "really struggling" guy on this trip. He's the one who gave up the cross-crease pass for the goal in this game.

Statistically, Labarbera is outplaying Turco in this game. That is awesome. Actually, it's probably that way for the whole season. I didn't see the first goal but I tuned in and thought it was hilarious when they showed the shots 7-1 in our favor and, of course, it's 1-0 Vancouver.

Canucks direct the puck toward the net, of course it goes in.

Oh defense....

Two backdoor goals. The forwards had a lot to do with the initial setup, but the defense was just standing around again.

I guess you guys were right about Niskanen struggling, ouch. We really need another Mattias Norstrom type player.

Again, not that I disagree with playing Stefan, but you honestly think Turco had a shot on either of those? Those were both backdoor chances.

SB - first goal was a 2-on-2 created by a turnover at the blueline. Grossman took his guy to the corner but failed to cut off a cross-crease pass (actually, about four feet out of the crease), and Hutchinson had lost the Canuck behind him for a tap-in backdoor goal.

The second goal was a pretty reasonable approximation of it, just with a longer set up.

Parrish is hilariously bad. He came within inches of just launching that into the stands with hardly any pressure.

He more than had shots at those, they should have been stopped. Or more precisely, never allowed to get across. Turco is too small and is no longer athletic enough to compensate.
