Renney Tinkering Again

Naslund - Gomez - Callahan
Dawes - Drury - Prucha (Prucha back on RW)?
Korpikoski - Dubinsky - Zherdev
Sjostrom - Betts - Orr

I don't like it.

Probably Renney's way of getting Voros back in the line up when this change doesn't work out...

To be fair, Renney was quoted as looking at those lines as potential power play units, not as the regular lines. Although, knowing him, we're likely to see them at even-strength, too.

Another reason to get rid of Prucha by the ****** himself.

Brilliant idea, Tom. Let's break up the only line that's been generating any offense.

If generating offense means one goal a game, the only choice is to find a way to get at least 2 effective lines.

I think tom maybe smarter than all of us, he probably has money on Pittsburgh. Also by killing line combos, he probably has the under.

I think the Dawes-Drury-Prucha line will do something big tomorrow night.

Don't like these lines too much either. If the article says that these are potential powerplay units, then that hopefully means Prucha will get a chance on the power play. I mean, we've been trying some different stuff lately, such as Drury on the point (that didn't work out too well). Why not throw Prucha back on the PP and give him a shot? The PP is bad enough already anyway, might as well try something different.

Serious question here: Is there any other coach in the league that plays around with the lines as much as Renney? I don't get to follow the rest of the league as much as I wish I could and I'm just curious as to whether there is any sort of precedent for this stuff...

all coaches change the lines up. Maybe Columbus comes close, but even they are way more stable than us.

Usually at this point of the season most teams have set their lines and generally don't tinker to this extent.

Apparently you've never seen Tom Renney coach a hockey team.

Why doesn't Tom realize that Petr is better on his off-wing?

Because his Ouija board told him to do otherwise.
