What If Crosby Were A Thrasher???

You know what? I hate to say it but I almost hope the Thrashers stink next year. I am a Ducks fan but it is pretty scary how dangerous the Thrashers would be if they were to get the number one draft pick overall, in next years draft. They would of course get Crosby and would have arguably the most talented offense in the NHL. A team with Crosby, Heatley and Kovalchuk. That is not to mention that they have 2 defensemen that are 6'7 and one that is 6'8. In 4-5 years, if the D-men who are 6'7 and 6'8 make the squad, the Thrashers are going to be making frequent appearences to the Finals. Can you imagine Heatley, Crosby and on the same line? In 4 years, they would have the NHL's best offense and scariest Defense. It would be like the new and improved Avalanche. That's my opinion anyways.

If the Thrashers are in any sort of position to draft Sid Crosby next year, Don Waddell will most assuredly be out of a job next spring, and he won't be the only one. We're beyond that point now.

Well beyond that point. Let Crosby go to some bottom-feeder. We've got Kovalchuk and Heatley to build around.

Just because D-Men are big doesn't mean they can play.. We've seen enough big clumsy fools in the NHL to establish this.

Hehehe, I think all the hockey fans in the world, as well as those working for the other 29 NHL teams would take a collective dump in their pants.

Here are some more
Samsonov - Thornton - Crosby
Zherdev - Crosby - Nash(if he moved to the right wing)
Crosby - Ovechkin - Semin
I'm sure there are more

Gelinas and Iginla instead of Heatley and Kovalchuk; you've got to be kidding. I would also suggest that by the time Crosby makes the NHL, the Heatley/Kovalchuk pairing would be better than Forsberg and Sakic.
I'd say the other two are arguable

Actually, I read many posts on the Columbus page that Zherdev is a LW.

It's most likely that you only chose to read what you want to read. Thornton went to arbitration, which means that it is most probabl he will stay. Oh, but I'm sure that you thought that Thornton would be gone because you read some article.

next year Thorton can go to free agency if he wants to by signing a 1 year contract and then not accepting any offers from the bruins and proof that Zherdev is a rw http://www.bluejackets.com/team/players/

Thornton can do that, just like ANY OTHER PLAYER CAN. Any player can decide not to accept offers from their respective teams, so I don't get what you mean. Try sticking to the canucks news. Your point of Thornton not being here is backed with no proof, while my point of Joe selecting arbitration shows that he wants to be here. He said he wants a 4 or 5 year deal, or will take what he get in arbitration and try again next year.
