As per title.

I think this is good for Vorobiev as he will play in a big team and will get some good playoff experience later this season...

that's good I suppose, but from a Leaf/organizational perspective, I thought he declined every coming to NA so will this really help the Leafs down the road? am I wrong?

Vorobiev said last year that the Leafs have never given him an offer

Didn't he just sign this summer with Lada, a big-ish deal at that? Surprising, if I recall that part correctly, but nice that he's going to be on a team in the running for the championship.

Wish we could find a way to get him over here.

Would be nice if we could get him over for next season and even more so if we can clear some d´s.

Someone should really pump a sports station to ask Burke about this guy.

JFJ never really paid much interest to him, but Vorobiev fits the philosophy of a big, tough defender.

This should be really interesting.

One of the main reasons Vorobiev chose to stay in Russia was because he had become very close to the Lada team and coaching staff.

Perhaps being traded to a new team now gives him the incentive to come overseas?

We'll never see him in North America, he makes too much money to leave.

well, with Rumors that Russian players rejected a proposal from the KHL for all players to take a 40% pay cut due to their financial difficulties, perhaps he will be more willing to come over.

I would love to hear Burkes take on Vorobiev and the situation.

I want Vorobiev over in NA... I think he awesome and easily be a top 4 dman with us. Especially if were gonna be dealing Kabs and Kubs.
