Del Zotto / Tavares traded to London Knights (OHL) [DZ Still Rangers property]
Dont worry guys, hes still with the Rangers but he has been traded from the Oshawa Generals to the London Knights along with John Tavares. I dont know that much about the OHL but i do know that Oshawa was struggling even with these two superstars and now the Knights should be pretty damn strong.
Wow. The Knights just went from really good to ridiculous.
I know Prospect Park wanted DZ to go to Brampton, but London isn't too bad when it comes to molding NHL players as far as I know.
You ain't kidding.
Here's a list:
Jason Allison, Brian Bradley, Fred Brathwaite, Dino Ciccarelli, Dan Fritsche, Sam Gagner, Dan Girardi, Patrick Kane, Sergei Kostitsyn, Dave Lowry, Steve Mason, Rick Nash, Corey Perry, Kyle Quincey, Rob Ramage, Darryl Sittler, Steve Smith, Dennis Wideman, Brendan Shanahan. Of course a lot of those are pre Hunters, but still.....London breeds good NHLers.

Dan Fritsche does not belong on that list with good NHLers

Not to mention London already has the most players taken first overall in the NHL entry draft and JT could very well be the third player in the last 8 years with that distinction.
Really looking forward to seeing these two for the rest of the season! Damn good day to be a Knights fan
how do u make trades in juniors? what can be of value to get back for a tavares and del zotto?
Gennies will need to rebuild in coming years and they are getting 4 2nd round and 2 3rd round picks in return as well as 3 players. Oshawa also gave up a goalie named Borden as part of this deal.
It's all about the picks and hoping to build a marketable product in the future in the post JT era.
