well whatever, if we lose tonight it's no big deal.. just keep on plugging and we'll get to the playoffs eventually. Not every game will be against the best team in the league.

these Detroit commentators are terrible

I wonder if they'll stop talking about the players on Detroit long enough to comment on the game at some point..

Ahahaha, swan dive by the Red Wing.

Now, it was a trip after Sydor screwed up, missed the puck and was going for it. But his stick wouldn't make the Wing fall forward - it would push his skates back. The forward motion was all embellishment.

alright... let's get it down to a 1 goal defecit in the 2nd and go from there

I like how Ribeiro's playing, but I'm concerned with the fact that Detroit's top line has ended up on the ice at the same time as our 4th line on 3 different occassions.

I just read this on foxsports.com and got very very scared...

we may as well give up if this is the case...

caseman will hate it...

News: Coach Dave Tippett indicated that Turco may get the start in every remaining regular season game, the Dallas Morning News reports. [-]
Impact: Tippett's reasoning is that the Stars' poor start to the season has them in playoff mode already, and that Turco is the go-to guy in the playoffs. Turco seems on board with the idea for now, so Turco owners in daily leagues can expect a heavy dose for the foreseeable future. (RotoWire - Thu. Jan 8, 2009)

Sorry i dont have a better link..

Anyone else heard rumours like this?

alright... if Dallas had unlimited financial resources and the pick of any players in the league, could they assemble a team that wouldn't play like **** every game in Detroit?

Turco's been flopping around like a fish, but the real problem is the team is letting Detroit fling the puck around the attacking zone at will. It's a 180 degree turn from the play that made them succesful against Detroit in the first game.

alright, let's kill off this penalty, get a quick goal, and see if we can't steal a result from Detroit tonight

if the Stars win the next two periods they can still win the game..

So much for the PP. Not much energy/spark in this one.

Honestly, how was that not a holding call on the boards when Robidas got punked?

The Red Wings get away with more tickey-tack stuff than any other team in the league because of their reputation.

I don't even want more power plays, cause the Stars power plays suck. I just want the Wings to get called for the little tap-slashes and the holds and interference.

All you can do is laugh at the stuff the Wings are allowed to get away with.

Is Sutherby injured?

In these damn Detroit games Ribeiro's the only player who ever seems to have the head to think the game on the same level as the Wings and then actually be able to muster enough drive to get things done against a team that won't provoke you...

we need to stop passing the puck trying to break in against Detroit.. it's an automatic turn-over

just carry it until you run out of space, then chip it in..

Maybe it's the same gene that gives the proclivity for diving?

I didn't think either the Hossa trip or the Ribeiro trip were dives, they were both legit penalties.
