Who cares if he was gay? He/they made some great music...and I too am a fan.

Queen is excellent. Here are some current bands for meh...

Minus the Bear
Augustana
Alkaline Trio (crimson album, not the new crap)
Weezer
Jack Johnson
Motion City Soundtrack
Oasis (old stuff again)

Whoever posted that band on myspace a few days ago...they were kinda pop/punkish and had a longer name, they were pretty decent. Thanks.

I don't know what was bleeped out, but there is a big difference between Crimson and the newest album. And, I assume you were badmouthing Crimson, whereas I think it is the best, most polished work. Not quite radio-friendly, but thats perfect.

I do like some older songs, Cooking Wine is one of my favorites, Dead and Broken, Mr. Chainsaw, Bleeder, and Stupid Kid come to mind.

I have no problem saying I like more polished music, I am quite comfortable in my skin. I saw Alkaline live and they were AWFUL. I don't know if I was just in a bad mood, but their first 5 songs were defintiely illegible and I was just pissed off from that point. And people were MOSHING...at an Alkaline concert........****ing kids.

Rock Lobster...funny story about that song.

I was in the Poconos for a 'boarding trip and we were at some bar that had kareoke. Some dude comes on stage and starts singing that song and I think everyone in that bar was straight up staring at the guy...the whole time...I never knew that song until that night.

Queen was a truly amazing band. May is a genius guitarist and their vocal harmonies were top notch. Freddy is the best front man ever. Just a very very musically tight band. Probably the best arena anthem band ever. The fact they tour with the lead singer from free(i like free btw), is just an abomination.

Even though freddy was gay, they did a promo that was a bike race with naked women through an enlish town. Does that make up for it?

That was me. You, Me, and Everyone We Know is probably my favorite band around at the moment (at least until Brand New comes out with another album or maybe the Starting Line ever gets back together) so I try to pimp them whenever I can.

Other stuff that has come up in the past 24 hours on my iTunes:
Green Day - Nimrod
Modest Mouse - Good News For People Who Love Bad News
Rookie of the Year - Sweet Attention
Building Rome in a Day
Jimmy Eat World - Clarity (one of my favorite albums ever)
Number One Gun - The North Pole Project
Streetlight Manifesto - Somewhere in the Between
Motion City Soundtrack - Commit This to Memory
Brand New - (Fork and Knife)
Metro Station
The Beatles - Abbey Road

Seriously.....Queen is one of the single greatest bands EVER....and with all the great bands that came out of England, I believe they are the highest selling and most successful. They have influenced so many rock bands out there in different genres its unbelievable.

Any implication that they are favored by "alternative lifestyles" is a joke....

Having a lot of problems with my boss in work this week so I just popped in Slayer and Pantera on the way home last night.....

Exactly. Do you think if they were actually copying they would say to themsleves "lets change this and this" so that it doesn't seem exactly the same. Coldplay is set. They've made their millions, they have their fan base etc...why would they need to plaguarize someone else's work?

I haven't seen anyone else naming hard rock on here. I guess it's more common in Canada.

Nothing gets me going at the gym or ready for a game than System of a DOWN.

Buckcherry
chevelle
Cold
Crossfade

Hot Hot Heat
Incubus
Linkin Park
Mobile
Our Lady Peace
Mudvayne

No, is it a band or Jimmy song? I thought I had them all?

Jimmy is my 2nd favorite all time band...U2 is number one. They kind of go hand in hand, if you think about it...somewhat similar bands. However, Jimmy is coming around this way in February and I refuse to go at those prices. $172 for a GA ticket? I paid $215 for ONE U2 GA ticket and I refuse to pay that much again unless it is, well, U2.
