Saku in practice today - Maybe back next week

Saku may be back for the game against the Caps on saturday. He practiced with Bégin and Chip this morning.

Excellent news. With the team current success, there is no rush. hope he's 100% and more when he's back.

I'd dig a Bégin-Koivu-D'Agostini for a 4th line.

Wow these lines are really getting meshed together. We really don't have a clear third or fourth line, and the grinders are really being spread through all the lines.
Does this happen much in the NHL?

Don't worry. He will get ice time on the PP.

Anyway, Koivu is far better when he is playing 15 minutes per game than 20. At his age and with his medical past, he has enough gas for a good 15 minutes.

When Saku Koivu is in your fourth line, you know there is something special.

I love this team.

I think I'm gonna cry.

we bump the Dago- Chip- Bégin line out of the line up, and insert the Higgins - Koivu - Tanguay line.

There is so much injuries that the Habs won't play another single game this year with a full line up of regular players.

well there you go, the article has been updated. Koivu won't be back for a couple more days. Still encouraging though that he skated with the team. I just want a report on Laraque godamnit!

Better not do too much. He'll probably pull his groin for the 19th time this season.

When Saku is back, I think we gotta split up the Lats/Laps/Kosto line. They've been playing well, but individually so as much as as a unit. I'd go with:

Pacioretty-Plekanec-Kovalev
Kostitsyn-Lang-Kostitsyn
Latendresse-Koivu-D'Agostini
Begin-Lapierre-Kostopoulos

When Tanguay and Higgins come back, i'd insert them for D'Ago and Begin respectively...

It's a good way to get back in shape,8-9 minutes and get some pp time to get the offense going again.

I hope he his ready for tomorrow night but I think he will be back Tuesday in Boston

Seriously. I don't know how a guy as slow and immobile as Laraque is can have so many groin problems.
