Sporting News Q&A with Lang

http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn...c.php?t=505012

Nice little Q&A with Robert Lang. There's a particularly nice answer when they ask him if Price has what it takes to carry the team through the playoffs:

"Absolutely. He proved that before. That's a given."

It's funny though, because isn't he really only supposed to be a 50-60pt guy and decent centre? I mean, he's doing exactly what a player of his calibre is supposed to do. I think some people, if Lang doesn't put up 80pts they'll be dissapointed.

Imo this could've been Koivu or Tanguay's 80+ point season had they stayed healthy, but Lang, Lang I wouldn't peg as an 80pt guy, I'd say he's playing up to par with expectations of a guy of his calibre. Fans in Montreal expect too much from people. Am I the only one who was happy we picked up Lang in the first place?????

I'd love to bring him back for 1 yr if we could fit him in.. Imagine us right now without Lang with Koivu out and Pleks sucking? And I don't see Maxwell being ready for a big role next yr.

Wouldn't be shocked if at the end of the season if Pleks doesn't improve, he's put on waivers or dealt with a pick for nothing just to dump his salary so we can keep Lang.

Personally I can't picture this team without Lang anymore, he truly is a hab in my eyes. It would SUCK to see him go.

I can't stop laughing thinking about Lang's infinite kindness and benevolence looking at the crowd and raising the Stanley cup on Saint-Catherine. There's something clownesque about him.

the interview is actually 5 pages long but once the editor removed all the "you knows" from it that's what he ended up with.

I heart Lang. And more importantly, everybody on the team seems to heart him too.
