Sens and Canucks (Semi-Minor)

I was thinking that Raymond looks very out of place on the 2nd line, and I have been on the "Get Vermette" band-wagon since last year.

Not sure if this has been beaten to death yet, but what about something along the lines of:

To Sens:
Raymond or Hansen
3rd/4th (if Hansen)

To Canucks:
Vermette
(Possible pick if Raymond?)

Never have been a huge fan of Raymond, some people love him, not sure what his value would be for the Sens. I'm thinking that Vermette could be great on the 2nd line, and could be a good 2nd unit PK/PP for the Canucks.

Would like to see suggestions in the form of Counter-offers if you feel this is way off.

I'd say yes to Vermette for Raymond. I've never been a big Vermette fan though, and I'm fed up with him this year. Don't know a whole lot about Raymond other than he's fast as hell.

I'd rather keep either Raymond or Hansen than have Vermette.

Yeah, he's definitely fast, tries to beat defenders wide, a lot. He's got a pretty good shot, but he's kind of streaky. He need fast line mates, otherwise he get left in the attacking zone alone and doesn't know what to do, generally dump and chase.

Raymond is very talented but very raw. Doesn't know how to use his linemates. Weak along the boards.

But his speed allows him to be responsible defensively so he's never a liability.

Vermette for Raymond is a win for Vancouver. As a Canucks fan, I'd rather hang on to Hansen, though.

I'd rather keep Hansen as well, more versatile, he can play just about any role. I just figured there would be more people that wanted to keep Raymond, I've never really been a fan, but he does score some pretty nice goals.

Hansen might be available over raymond.

I think the sens would want a high pick and either one and i don't think vancouver does the deal that way

Vermette is not worth his cap hit.

No, Raymond has the possibility to become as good as Vermette but without the other things Vermette brings like faceoffs and PK. Just because he, along with the rest of the team is having an off year doesn't mean you throw him away.

Sell low, buy high right?

Wait until Vermette's value is higher and then trade him, not for a prospect who has the chance to be as good as Vermette is every other season

I think Raymond has higher offensive potential, but Vermette is a lot more versatile.
